I've found my StrongArmSport Buffalo bar serves just as good of a purpose. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but I think for most it makes more sense given it's price point. Did you look into the Vulcan as well (I haven't watched the video yet so excuse me if you talk about it)?
On a side note, I hate FringeSport's product pages. Way too much useless text that has nothing to do with the product and instead tries to tell an unnecessary story lol.
Haven't used the StrongArm version yet, did notice it is 29MM which makes it a bit different from the Duffalo Bar. But $300 is a nice price point. Wouldn't be surprised if the Vulcan and the FringeSport are very similar. The FS is 32MM vs 30MM on the Vulcan, however.
@@Pler1978 it just seemed cheaply made, at not a cheap price. It didn't work well on the jcups, but that's not exclusive to the Vulcan. After using it once, I dont think I would buy ANY buffalo bar.
The Duffalo Bar routinely goes on sale in Kabuki's Blemish Sale. I bought mine for $495 and shipped free. Still a lot, but better that almost $700 shipped.
I have a Duffalo bar. To be honest, for the $600+ I don't think the average person could benefit from owning one more than they can with a more versatile bar like the Transformer bar. Sure, you could bench press with the Duffalo bar, but if the goal is to save the joints then a multi-grip swiss cambered bar is a better option for that purpose. Glad Fringe Sport has introduced this cheaper alternative for the average person. I think only competitive athletes would benefit from using the Duffalo bar.
I bought this two years ago. It still works as great as the day I received it. Unfortunately, I checked Fringe Sport’s website, and the bar is no longer Made in the USA. However, Fridge Sport is still charging $400 for an imported bar. I would recommend the Vulcan Buffalo Bar for a budget friend Made in the USA buffalo bar.
Would like to see an update on this one with the new American LongHorn Bar from FringeSport. Comparison to previous versions, competition, and its other offering would be great. Thx!
Great review as always Coop. I bought a duffalo bar years ago on their black Friday sale. It's the bar I use the most because I'm not a power lifter and generally speaking it's better ergonomically... I love the knurl initially it was very sharp but the shoulder rok knurl is what really destroys my hands. My only complaint is I have too much crap in my garage and the bar is a bit longer than a standard bar and gets in the way. And everytime I use regular bars at the gym the knurl is terrible in comparison. But in all honesty I don't think I'll be lifting that much weight for justifying the Cadillac of bars but it's just nice to have.
Thanks for the review. I bought the Titan Bison Bar and cannot quite figure it out. It does not easily sit on my Rep-Fitness rack's J-hooks--in fact, it moves them and I am afraid they are going to come off--and it wobbles when I bench. I have not tried squatting yet. Can you elaborate more on why you don't like it? Thanks.
How does it compare to your home-made buffalo bars? I tried your tutorial and it was kinda crooked, had to load it up and drop it a couple more times but the straps held well
you guys gonna review synergee rhino powerbar when it comes out. another deal breaker to buying kabuki is they take too long to get the bars to you. im waiting 8 weeks now for my transformer
It is nice to see it next to a Duffalo. I could do without is the upward angle on the sleeves. Makes it want to flip. I have the strongarm version and it is whippy, but Ive never felt like the plates were gonna slide off because it didn't have the upward angles.
Hey coop Im a fan of Mark rippetoe and i really like the Starting strength powe rack how stable do you think it is once it is bolted to the ground im planning on building it myself whith the specs on the texas strength sistems web page
Considering I'll never squat 900lbs, this looks like a great alternative without sacrificing the purpose of a buffalo bar.

I was so dissapointed with the vulcan buffalo bar that I sent it back.

@@GarageGymReviews strongarm sport is great. We have had it for a few months.
I have the Strong Arm Sport Buffalo bar and LOVE it. Got it for under $300 shipped.
That's an interesting bar, a bit thinner steel and bare steel, but $300 is hard to argue with.
I love it too, but it is surprisingly whippy. I think I would probably like a thicker version better.
I love my Yukon bar from Titan. WAY better than the Bison bar by Titan.
Bought one today on Black Friday! Thanks for the review Coop!
I'm hoping to build my own gym in the future. This is something I would definitely want. Thank you, Coop.

Thanks, Coop. Been waiting for your review before pulling the trigger on this one.
You'll definitely like it.
Thanks Coop. Just got mine last week. Great bar and what a difference on my back, shoulders and wrists. Money well spent. Got mine on sale for $269.
Are you going to do the new Titan Yukon Bar? Excited for that review!
Sign up for their email notifications and get 5% off. Comes to $379 shipped. Can't wait to try it out!!!
And it's cool it's USA made as well.
At $400, is the budget competitor worth buying or still overpriced? Let me know!
Garage Gym Reviews still vastly overpriced
Still overpriced but makes it much easier to justify if its something you really want
New york barbell under 200 bucks works fine ... for a novelty bar
Still waaaaay overpriced

I also notice that the new bars made in China have a notch in the bend back to the collars. Not happy.

I probably use the Duffalo Bar the most as well. It just feels so good during squats.
Coop....what brand of J-cups are those holding the Longhorn bar? Are those Rogue? (Btw, great review!)
Just ordered one. Thank you sir!

Right holy shit I ordered a kadillac bar on the 4th and still no word on shipping. Awesome bars but shit shipping and customer service
@garage gym reviews
Does this bar give better plate clearance outside the uprights than a standard power bar?
Hey coop, do you have reviews on pull down machines?
First video of Coops that sounds like an infomercial
Never going to use specialist bars
But it's good to learn about the different types of bars out there
Thank you
Hey coop, does fringesport or are there other bars similar to the the Rogue power bar? Thanks
When weight is added to one side, does the bar move or fall like your demo with the titan bar?
Do some reviews on fray fitness vary affordable stuff is it worth it?
I have a sneaking suspicion that Titan will be releasing a V2 version of the Bison bar soon
I could see it as well!
They should make an olympic bar that wraps around your neck.. Lol ultimate stability =D
Haha now you're thinking.
It should wrap around the wrist for more convenience.
How much does the duffalo bar weigh?
It is nice to see it next to a Duffalo. I could do without is the upward angle on the sleeves. Makes it want to flip. I have the strongarm version and it is whippy, but Ive never felt like the plates were gonna slide off because it didn't have the upward angles.
Pretty sure Titan’s Bison Bar could get the job done as well
Hey Coop
Buffalo bar or Safety squat bar if you can only pic one?
Get the Duffalo bar....you can bench w it also and feels great for squats
I've never used a buffalo bar. what benefit does it have over a straight bar?
Larger surface area touching your back. Spreads the weight across more surface making it feel better.
The vulcan buffalo bar is pretty decent
What about the ATX Buffalo Bar?
Will this help with butt wink. I feel my shoulders are pushing my straight bar forward
That would explain why your butt winks at me.
whats that song in the intro tho🤯🤯

This bar is one sale right now for 120.
This bar is now Made in gina
There's also this bar on the dutch market. It looks the same. www.fitness-seller.nl/atx-buffalo-bar/
$600 for a bar you will.have forever and use everyday isn't budget friendly enough? Lol
I thought you made your own? All you needed was some Titan safety straps, junk Titan bar, and a bunch of plates.
Haha that's true.
