About This Release:
The crown-jewel of Estonian soul and R&B shines the most in live setting. Since coming to scene in 2019, Rita Ray has amassed quite a following. So the young soulstress is blessed to be able to give grand concerts. The award-winning songwriter won album of the year for "Life of Its Own" - Rita Ray's sophomore studio LP. It was celebrated with 2 concerts in front of 2 500 people late in 2022. Miss Ray added the ÜENSO string orchestra and conductor Kaspar Mänd to accompany her extended band for this special occasion. Moreover, she wrote many of the arrangements, while sharing the duties with Riivo Jõgi.
So "Live in Concert" brings 9 recordings from these album presentations in Tallinn and Tartu to listeners. Rita Ray chose the tracks that also include material from her début album "Old Love Will Rust." Fans of her BBC-supported single "Disco Stu" will be happy to find the supercharged live version with an extended ending that became the cherry on top of the concert. All-in-all, the album captures a very special moment in time.
