Does Eugenol in the temporary cement (Like 3M™ RelyX™ Temp E Zinc Oxide Eugenol Temporary Cement) affect the polymerization of the resin in RelyX Luting Plus?
Hello Ahmad -- We typically recommend a non-eugenol temporary cement because eugenol is a known inhibitor to the setting reaction of resins cements. However, we also know that for some patient’s eugenol is needed. Because eugenol can be difficult to remove, we recommend thoroughly cleaning the preparation of any temporary cement residue using an oil-free pumice paste; followed by rinsing the prepared tooth or cavity with a water spray, and dry with air, cotton, or a paper tip. Thank you.
Hi Karam, the same protocol is used for both cementation of metal-based and zirconia crowns. You can copy and paste the following link for a cementation guide: s.3m.com/w5htgc. Please let us know if you have additional questions!

Could this just be used to build up worn down teeth ? Or is it just an adhesive?
Its a cement, its not a build up material.
