Even shorter for me (I was born in July 1942)! As far as I can see there are three possibilities: 1) an alien spacecraft crashed at Roswell and it was covered up; 2) the then government (and all subsequent ones) deliberately created the entire confusion for an unknown reason; or 3) the entire thing was a ruse to make the Russians think/fear that the USA had materials/weaponry that oculd end the developing Cold War at any moment.
The colonel who was commanding Roswell Army airfield base at the time and ordered the article to be published telling the public they recovered a flying saucer, you would think it was some nut right, but it wasn't, it was William H. Blanchard, who became a four star general and Vice Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force. He's the guy who made the decision to say it was a flying saucer, and counterintelligence was on the scene the day before, so the army knew exactly what they had and that's what they decided to publish. I never understood why they refer it to “Roswell” as the crash site is no where near the place. I visited Roswell on a driving holiday me and couple of mates did across the states and we planed to go to the crash site, and us being 3no naive boys from East London thought it would be a easy drive, how wrong we were, the site was miles away and I calculated it to be a 3.5hr drive using non tarmac desert roads with nothing for miles. The museum warned us not to attempt it which I am glad we listened to as we would’ve got lost and probably would still be in that desert today. We massively underestimated the size of America’s wilderness at times being from the Uk and the City which gave us zero incline until we got out there.

What always got me about Roswell was that the Army couldn’t tell the difference between weather balloon debris and some sort of off world debris. People described it as “memory metal “ that no matter how you crumbled it,it would return back to its original shape. The military soldiers saying that they could not really damage it no matter what they tried. I believe that the first press release was the correct one until some people in Washington,in higher up positions, seen it and said you have to retract that statement.

The CIA was created in September of 1947 ,the three military departments were unified and the NSA were also all formed that same year after Roswell. I believe that the soldiers who were involved in the cleanup or seen or knew about the crash were not told immediately to keep what they seen/known a secret till later. In 1977 my wife and i were heading to Nevada. I delivered auto parts to Nevada, Arizona,California.. I mention to my wife ( I have been down this highway hundred's of times and never saw that light on that mountain.) We kept driving another hour passed, i said we are close enough to see the tower holding that light. We could not see the tower because we were heading into the SUN so i said we will drive further to clear this mountain we were just approaching. We went through the mountains and every Valley we entered we could see the light. It was approximately 50+ feet in diameter. We still was not able to see the tower holding the bright light. We kept driving. Now we were so close to the light i looked like it was parked in the road. By now there was a traffic jam. Cars in both directions were stopped in the road. People were standing all over the highway on both directions. A small plane appeared and flew a complete circle around the light. Then the light started rotating in place. The light rotated enough that you could see that it was long cigar shape and growing longer. It stopped rotating. Then you could see windows along the sides. In the lead window it was 5 feet in diameter it was a large port hole. There was a white man approximately 5 feet tall wearing a light blue full body suit. He was making hand signals to the pilot then he made a all clear signal and whoooosh it was gone. he never sat down or held on to a hand rail. The "G" force would have killed a human. The enurshia would have smashed a human against the fushalodge !!!!!
There are a couple interviews on the national archives channel, at least one of which conducted by Stanton Friedman, that have one detail in common. Keep in mind, one is an older gentleman that worked in a funeral home as a young man, who was on the base when the debris was recovered and the autopsy was being performed; the other is a younger gentleman who was a ten year old on a rock hound expedition with his dad and uncle that stumbled on the actual craft and witnessed the beings themselves, just as the military showed up. They didn't know each other is my point. The one thing they both talked about was a pair of officers, one a red headed white guy that was the commanding officer and an African American guy that was his sergeant. They were both very not nice people. That was the key detail- that the ginger in charge and his black sidekick were very aggressive and disagreeable was specifically noted in both interviews. As far as FOIA requests are concerned- you can submit them all you want. If the actual material or wreckage is being kept by private defense contractors like Lockheed Martin- they aren't bound by FOIA requests, so the government can say "we don't have the materials you are asking about" and not technically be lying.
I have always believed they had an actual alien craft from the roswell event. Imagine being able to stand in a hangar on some airbase and gaze upon a real craft from another world. And the sheer arrogance not to share such a happening with the rest of the world? It’s a disgrace. Actually, longtime Roswell researcher Kevin Randle has concluded that that man, who worked in that Roswell funeral home and met with an Air Force nurse, who participated in the alien autopsy, and the man, who claimed to witness the actual crash site with three dead aliens and one injured, but still alive alien as a young boy, have both been found to be extremely unreliable. What is much more compelling is the testimony given by many of the air men, who were stationed at Roswell in July of 1947, claim they participated in and witnessed the recovery of the object and its flight crew, and subsequently told their wives and children of their involvement in whatever really happened there 75 years ago.

And those testimonies along with the initial army report to the press that it was an alien craft makes it more so that it likely was.

The red haired man became the first to go into the atmosphere or some shit.. I forget his name. But the fact they both described the same two individuals without knowing each other is fascinating. 2023 and it's almost 80 years . Thank you to STANTON FREIDMAN. The fact the young boy at the time said when he saw the live being look at him, he got an overwhelming feeling of fear and nervousness as if the being was telling him he was scared. I am always surprised how badly the Roswell story is told, but this particular documentary remains a very good account. In more recent glossy documentaries, too much can just be summarised and the story becomes disjointed...If the full story needs a 6 hour documentary to tell it properly then make a 6 hour documentary...If it needs a 2 day documentary then make a 2 day documentary...the story needs telling properly.

So many Roswell documentaries, so many neglecting to mention there were actually two debris sites and a violent storm the night they were created. My guess is the spaceship got struck by lightning, hit the ground, skipped off, then lodged in the side of the ridge where the ten civilians who found it before the military said they found it.

Most don't know this, but there was no crash IN Roswell. It was NEAR Roswell, and there were actually two crash sites....in Socorro, NM and Corona, NM.

In 2014 in New Zealand i was sitting at my dinner table by my lounge window over looking the Wellingon harbour. All the sudden i see a UFO disc shaped middle was stationery and the disc spinning a glowing green. It paused for a few seconds by the window at a distance clear as day. Then took if so quickly i couldn't even take a photo or record it. Still till this day I've been keeping an eye out hasn't happened again. Why did it pause i still don't know. I was shocked i wanted tell people but who would believe me without any proof. Right but i know what i saw and will never forget it. Was amazing like nothing I've seen in over 40 years. I got admit too i was bit scared to go outside for a while too. Believe me or not I'm a witness with no proof but my eyeballs.
All the Roswell stuff was declassified in the mid 90s. The "flying saucer" that was recovered was a large high altitude microphone developed to listen for Soviet nuclear testing.
The crash site is actually closer to Corona, New Mexico. That town should have gotten all the publicity. It is a very ominous feeling driving around that area.
The people in Rosewell didn't see anything. Only one rancher who was held for three days and threatened to keep him quite. In Corona there were more witnesses so naturally they want to keep attention away from Corona.

Then he drops a mind blowing statement: "General Ramey was the one that told, discussed told the newspapers what it was and to forget about it. It was nothing more than a weather observation balloon. (OF COURSE WE BOTH KNEW DIFFERENTLY) . . . ! ! !
If you watch the section when Jesse Marcel is talking about the debris (14 min. mark), you can hear how he describes the initial investigation in the first person, then switches to the third person. This is common among people who have had mind manipulation. He starts in the first person, but then switches to another person, eventually he would have doubted his own story (if we'd seen the rest of it). In psychology, this is how brain washed people try to recall events that occurred during the brain washed period (like the Charles Manson murder suspects - they started confessing the truth, but then weakened their moral resolve and started to act like it was others involved). The important thing for me is that he started referring to his involvement then switch to how he might have heard from someone else. Sorry I'm rambling, but I just feel that this indicates some sort of manipulation - there wouldn't be a concerted manipulation about a weather balloon. Hats off to Jesse for still trying to fight through and tell what he saw.

There would be tremendous forces and heat involved that would be capable of doing severe damage as compared to a sledgehammer on the ground. I'm sure that no one knows for sure except for the scientists who retrieved it and examined it later...

Yeah, I'm sure an experienced military officer mistook a wooden stick with tape on it with something he believed to be from a UFO. Is that more likely or is it more likely the military accidentally admitted to finding a crashed UFO then lied their asses off to cover it up with idiotic decorated tape stories.
Either way, if you believe or don't believe, it's a pretty heartbreaking thought that some intelligent lifeform has been killed millions of lightyears away from home. Their families and friends may not even know of the crash and are waiting for their loved ones to return, loved ones who will never come back. The families won't even have any bodies to bury. They have no hope of closure. It's a very, very sad thought. They have flown a vast distance across space and time and spend the next few terrified seconds of their lives realising they are going to die millions of lightyears from home and what that means for their families, friends and their home planet. If there were really aliens that did crash, I hope they were killed instantly and wouldn't have known. I can't imagine surviving a crash to die in agony so far from home because humans aren't able to help them let alone save them, poor guys. That's what would make a UFO crash even worse. We can't do anything to help the victims or even repatriate their bodies to their families.
As a pilot myself I agree 2000%, but at the same time it may not be the same species of alien that died at Roswell that has stolen our pilots, but again they could be. It's impossible to tell. But either way regardless of who is to blame I agree - bring back our pilots. Their families and friends matter too, regardless of who has taken them. Again the pilots' families will be going through hell without a body to bury, especially one that has been stolen away from earth to another galaxy so that the recovery and funerals with a body can never take place. I'm pretty angry about that, that aliens would steal away human beings. They have no right to do that, and if we ever find out exactly who has taken them then we should't hand over any of their bodies until we get ours back. That's the darker side of Ufology and ET life that sometimes people (like me) forget - that there is a human cost too.

This is the statement which you should have made, "What we are talking about is a story about beings who are not like us and who operate advanced aircraft." These beings may be current earth and moon residents who descended from extra-terrestrial beings who have long since died. Or their ancestors may have evolved on Earth millions of years ago. These beings may live, in large numbers, in Earth and Moon caverns. Living below the surface might explains their (i.e., the 'grays') large eyes and pale skin-color. We, humans, might be a hybrid of apes and these non-humans (who are actually terrestrials). Admittedly, there may be ETs visiting Earth on a regular basis. My point is that you, Frakes, or your writers, are unjustifiably inclining viewers to believe that the crash in Roswell was either a weather ballon or ETs. What about the advanced, presumed-alien technology? Well, if scientist are right and the Moon contains large caverns, what prevents advanced technology from being manufactured there? I have no inside info but prefer to not narrow possibilities without evidence in support of such narrowing. To limit possibilities without good evidence reflects biases.

This is all outdated information but some of it is interesting as primary source interview material culture such as the Jesse Marcel Jr testimony. In 2021 we know Roswell was part of three "crashes" that occurred in New Mexico. Metamaterial analyses since also demonstrate that this wasn't of earthly origin. One also has to look not only at evidence but also for clues, and allow the documents, materials and eye witness reports to lead the way into answers. The abduction phenomenon and the work of John Mack needs to be considered alongside Roswell, as does the testimony of LT Colonel Phillip Corso. More recently we have the tic tac evidence. This should no longer be presented as "are we alone in the universe?" but begin with the premise that we are not and move from there. For a ship the size described at Roswell,,, it certainly had to of had a much larger mother ship. Something the size would be visible to the naked eye on the ground. So I think this is a way to identify, simply by visually scanning the night sky. I say visually as I am almost sure the craft would have total stealth from radar. Something to think about, because even the aliens would know how weird it would look if you were gawking at the sky.

Even shorter for me (I was born in July 1942)! As far as I can see there are three possibilities: 1) an alien spacecraft crashed at Roswell and it was covered up; 2) the then government (and all subsequent ones) deliberately created the entire confusion for an unknown reason; or 3) the entire thing was a ruse to make the Russians think/fear that the USA had materials/weaponry that oculd end the developing Cold War at any moment.

I never understood why they refer it to “Roswell” as the crash site is no where near the place. I visited Roswell on a driving holiday me and couple of mates did across the states and we planed to go to the crash site, and us being 3no naive boys from East London thought it would be a easy drive, how wrong we were, the site was miles away and I calculated it to be a 3.5hr drive using non tarmac desert roads with nothing for miles. The museum warned us not to attempt it which I am glad we listened to as we would’ve got lost and probably would still be in that desert today. We massively underestimated the size of America’s wilderness at times being from the Uk and the City which gave us zero incline until we got out there.

What always got me about Roswell was that the Army couldn’t tell the difference between weather balloon debris and some sort of off world debris. People described it as “memory metal “ that no matter how you crumbled it,it would return back to its original shape. The military soldiers saying that they could not really damage it no matter what they tried. I believe that the first press release was the correct one until some people in Washington,in higher up positions, seen it and said you have to retract that statement.
Why wouldn’t a soldier lie for his country to protect national security secrets? That is a way more logical question than “why would a soldier lie about seeing aliens?”

The CIA was created in September of 1947 ,the three military departments were unified and the NSA were also all formed that same year after Roswell. I believe that the soldiers who were involved in the cleanup or seen or knew about the crash were not told immediately to keep what they seen/known a secret till later. In 1977 my wife and i were heading to Nevada. I delivered auto parts to Nevada, Arizona,California.. I mention to my wife ( I have been down this highway hundred's of times and never saw that light on that mountain.) We kept driving another hour passed, i said we are close enough to see the tower holding that light. We could not see the tower because we were heading into the SUN so i said we will drive further to clear this mountain we were just approaching. We went through the mountains and every Valley we entered we could see the light. It was approximately 50+ feet in diameter. We still was not able to see the tower holding the bright light. We kept driving. Now we were so close to the light i looked like it was parked in the road. By now there was a traffic jam. Cars in both directions were stopped in the road. People were standing all over the highway on both directions. A small plane appeared and flew a complete circle around the light. Then the light started rotating in place. The light rotated enough that you could see that it was long cigar shape and growing longer. It stopped rotating. Then you could see windows along the sides. In the lead window it was 5 feet in diameter it was a large port hole. There was a white man approximately 5 feet tall wearing a light blue full body suit. He was making hand signals to the pilot then he made a all clear signal and whoooosh it was gone. he never sat down or held on to a hand rail. The "G" force would have killed a human. The enurshia would have smashed a human against the fushalodge !!!!!

There are a couple interviews on the national archives channel, at least one of which conducted by Stanton Friedman, that have one detail in common. Keep in mind, one is an older gentleman that worked in a funeral home as a young man, who was on the base when the debris was recovered and the autopsy was being performed; the other is a younger gentleman who was a ten year old on a rock hound expedition with his dad and uncle that stumbled on the actual craft and witnessed the beings themselves, just as the military showed up. They didn't know each other is my point. The one thing they both talked about was a pair of officers, one a red headed white guy that was the commanding officer and an African American guy that was his sergeant. They were both very not nice people. That was the key detail- that the ginger in charge and his black sidekick were very aggressive and disagreeable was specifically noted in both interviews. As far as FOIA requests are concerned- you can submit them all you want. If the actual material or wreckage is being kept by private defense contractors like Lockheed Martin- they aren't bound by FOIA requests, so the government can say "we don't have the materials you are asking about" and not technically be lying.
I have always believed they had an actual alien craft from the roswell event. Imagine being able to stand in a hangar on some airbase and gaze upon a real craft from another world. And the sheer arrogance not to share such a happening with the rest of the world? It’s a disgrace. And there have been other instances as testified by eyewitnesses, of other craft coming down too over the years. God only knows what they have got. But one thing seems for sure- we the people are never ever going to know about even ONE of these craft.
Actually, longtime Roswell researcher Kevin Randle has concluded that that man, who worked in that Roswell funeral home and met with an Air Force nurse, who participated in the alien autopsy, and the man, who claimed to witness the actual crash site with three dead aliens and one injured, but still alive alien as a young boy, have both been found to be extremely unreliable.
What is much more compelling is the testimony given by many of the air men, who were stationed at Roswell in July of 1947, claim they participated in and witnessed the recovery of the object and its flight crew, and subsequently told their wives and children of their involvement in whatever really happened there 75 years ago.

And those testimonies along with the initial army report to the press that it was an alien craft makes it more so that it likely was.

The red haired man became the first to go into the atmosphere or some shit.. I forget his name. But the fact they both described the same two individuals without knowing each other is fascinating. 2023 and it's almost 80 years . Thank you to STANTON FREIDMAN. The fact the young boy at the time said when he saw the live being look at him, he got an overwhelming feeling of fear and nervousness as if the being was telling him he was scared. And that the being was administering aid to the the other beings who were dead/mutilated by the wild animals in the area.. crazy story..

I am always surprised how badly the Roswell story is told, but this particular documentary remains a very good account. In more recent glossy documentaries, too much can just be summarised and the story becomes disjointed...If the full story needs a 6 hour documentary to tell it properly then make a 6 hour documentary...If it needs a 2 day documentary then make a 2 day documentary...the story needs telling properly.

So many Roswell documentaries, so many neglecting to mention there were actually two debris sites and a violent storm the night they were created. My guess is the spaceship got struck by lightning, hit the ground, skipped off, then lodged in the side of the ridge where the ten civilians who found it before the military said they found it.

In 2014 in New Zealand i was sitting at my dinner table by my lounge window over looking the Wellingon harbour. All the sudden i see a UFO disc shaped middle was stationery and the disc spinning a glowing green. It paused for a few seconds by the window at a distance clear as day. Then took if so quickly i couldn't even take a photo or record it. Still till this day I've been keeping an eye out hasn't happened again. Why did it pause i still don't know. I was shocked i wanted tell people but who would believe me without any proof. Right but i know what i saw and will never forget it. Was amazing like nothing I've seen in over 40 years. I got admit too i was bit scared to go outside for a while too. Believe me or not I'm a witness with no proof but my eyeballs.

All the Roswell stuff was declassified in the mid 90s. The "flying saucer" that was recovered was a large high altitude microphone developed to listen for Soviet nuclear testing.

The crash site is actually closer to Corona, New Mexico. That town should have gotten all the publicity. It is a very ominous feeling driving around that area.
The people in Rosewell didn't see anything. Only one rancher who was held for three days and threatened to keep him quite. In Corona there were more witnesses so naturally they want to keep attention away from Corona.

Marcel further corroborates his story on Season 5, episode 1 (UFO coverups) of the the late 1970's show: In Search Of that was narrated by Leonard Nimoy, Lieutenant colonel Jesse Marcel is filmed on location with the In Search of crew talking about the incident. He states: "You couldn't bend it, you couldn't cut it, and you couldn't burn it". He further goes on to say that "a sledgehammer actually bounced off of it". Then he drops a mind blowing statement: "General Ramey was the one that told, discussed told the newspapers what it was and to forget about it. It was nothing more than a weather observation balloon. (OF COURSE WE BOTH KNEW DIFFERENTLY) . . . ! ! !
If you watch the section when Jesse Marcel is talking about the debris (14 min. mark), you can hear how he describes the initial investigation in the first person, then switches to the third person. This is common among people who have had mind manipulation. He starts in the first person, but then switches to another person, eventually he would have doubted his own story (if we'd seen the rest of it). In psychology, this is how brain washed people try to recall events that occurred during the brain washed period (like the Charles Manson murder suspects - they started confessing the truth, but then weakened their moral resolve and started to act like it was others involved). The important thing for me is that he started referring to his involvement then switch to how he might have heard from someone else. Sorry I'm rambling, but I just feel that this indicates some sort of manipulation - there wouldn't be a concerted manipulation about a weather balloon. Hats off to Jesse for still trying to fight through and tell what he saw.

@@rassawhelan6045 Rassa, that is a great question. There's been some speculation that the craft's propulsion device blew up in mid-air. There would be tremendous forces and heat involved that would be capable of doing severe damage as compared to a sledgehammer on the ground. I'm sure that no one knows for sure except for the scientists who retrieved it and examined it later...

That’s a very good point. Also I can’t understand why they tried to burn and dent and bend the material. That’s a strange way to treat a thing, almost primitive, let’s bash it and burn it and try and destroy it.
It exceeded the breaking point of their tech. Burned with propane torch? Acetylene? Sledge hammer would be hundreds of lbs of pressure, mach 10 would be million of lbs of pressure.

I always try to keep an open mind & its quite possible for people to make a misidentification in regards to the weather balloon story. I just can't believe a weather balloon would leave a three-quarter mile × 200 yard wide debris field when it comes back to earth.

Yeah, I'm sure an experienced military officer mistook a wooden stick with tape on it with something he believed to be from a UFO. Either way, if you believe or don't believe, it's a pretty heartbreaking thought that some intelligent lifeform has been killed millions of lightyears away from home. Their families and friends may not even know of the crash and are waiting for their loved ones to return, loved ones who will never come back. The families won't even have any bodies to bury. They have no hope of closure. It's a very, very sad thought. They have flown a vast distance across space and time and spend the next few terrified seconds of their lives realising they are going to die millions of lightyears from home and what that means for their families, friends and their home planet. If there were really aliens that did crash, I hope they were killed instantly and wouldn't have known. I can't imagine surviving a crash to die in agony so far from home because humans aren't able to help them let alone save them, poor guys. That's what would make a UFO crash even worse. We can't do anything to help the victims or even repatriate their bodies to their families.
As a pilot myself I agree 2000%, but at the same time it may not be the same species of alien that died at Roswell that has stolen our pilots, but again they could be. It's impossible to tell. But either way regardless of who is to blame I agree - bring back our pilots. Their families and friends matter too, regardless of who has taken them. Again the pilots' families will be going through hell without a body to bury, especially one that has been stolen away from earth to another galaxy so that the recovery and funerals with a body can never take place. I'm pretty angry about that, that aliens would steal away human beings. They have no right to do that, and if we ever find out exactly who has taken them then we should't hand over any of their bodies until we get ours back. That's the darker side of Ufology and ET life that sometimes people (like me) forget - that there is a human cost too.

These beings may be current earth and moon residents who descended from extra-terrestrial beings who have long since died. Or their ancestors may have evolved on Earth millions of years ago. These beings may live, in large numbers, in Earth and Moon caverns. Living below the surface might explains their (i.e., the 'grays') large eyes and pale skin-color. We, humans, might be a hybrid of apes and these non-humans (who are actually terrestrials).

This is all outdated information but some of it is interesting as primary source interview material culture such as the Jesse Marcel Jr testimony. In 2021 we know Roswell was part of three "crashes" that occurred in New Mexico. Metamaterial analyses since also demonstrate that this wasn't of earthly origin. One also has to look not only at evidence but also for clues, and allow the documents, materials and eye witness reports to lead the way into answers. The abduction phenomenon and the work of John Mack needs to be considered alongside Roswell, as does the testimony of LT Colonel Phillip Corso. More recently we have the tic tac evidence. This should no longer be presented as "are we alone in the universe?" but begin with the premise that we are not and move from there. It's tiring to still have to listen to millennials making misinformed and disinformed comments on these you tube posts as if the last 70 years of information doesn't count.

Keeping what a secret for all these years the Earth is only been here for billions of years we've only been here for what 10,000 years there are other Galaxy trillions of years older than we are and it goes on forever you don't think there's nobody else out there that's an easy question to answer you don't need a government for that
For a ship the size described at Roswell,,, it certainly had to of had a much larger mother ship. Something the size would be visible to the naked eye on the ground. So I think this is a way to identify, simply by visually scanning the night sky. I say visually as I am almost sure the craft would have total stealth from radar. Something to think about, because even the aliens would know how weird it would look if you were gawking at the sky.
