- The Ontario government is proposing to limit access to OHIP-funded psychotherapy. These videos demonstrate intensive psychotherapy is a medically necessary mental health treatment that saves lives. Dr. Norman Doidge is a psychiatrist and author who works and lives in Ontario. psychotherapysaves@gmail.com
Psychotherapy needs to remain publicly funded. IMHO, it's essential to the public good.
The number of psychotherapists trained in psychiatry or psychoanalysis is very limited.
psychologists sometimes social workers trained in psychotherapy are not insurance funded except for only 3 sessions. some GP's have trained themselves and provide short term intervention using just listening . To my surprise , the simple act of listening for 30 or 60 minutes has brought tremendous change in a patient,s illness , sometimes in ONE session . That has changed my whole approach to treatment as a family doc.
Reallylove this guy. Its because through his book brain that changes itself i realised that i have OCD. Untill then i was mistaken it as perfectionism..
Thank you Dr Norman ❤️
I love this guy too! I had a stroke so his knowledge of neuroplasticity is amazing. Some of the stories in this book are incredible.
Wow this is incredible!
It would be good to find some information regarding healing the brain after DV in 2005 which started CPS seizures. The doctors are calling the type of seizures Epilepsy which I have found hard to accept as a diagnosis as I was not born with this condition.
What if you have scare tissues on the brain from trauma or abuse?
Appreciate this informative feed. Would like to reach Dr. D for consultation. No availability for this therapy in Niagara.
Is there a way to reach Dr.Norman for consultation.
Thank-you for any feedback.

Great man and talk! However, chemical imbalance ? I don't see any evidence for it. Any links?
This has been debunked a long time ago!
Don't you think you should add a warning notice at the top of this video that the content is extremely sensitive and triggering to many ?
