- Okay this was a surprise. What do you think? I will put this latest award along side three others in red frames on the wall. Those were awarded due to the efforts of W1MBF, WA2R and N3KXB.

Congrats Jim! You deserve this. You are one of HAM radios best ambassadors!
Interesting timing right after Jim's disapproval of the ARRL Board. Having said that, you're worth it Jim, considering all the wisdom and advice you've shared with us over the years!
I also received my 25 year Certificate of Loyalty. I believe everyone is getting a certificate. I am truly not sure if I am going to renew next year. I hope I am wrong, but I feel that they have become self-serving, rather than serving. God Bless
Oh, I did not know that. Someone must have turned on the printer. Must have been a mass mailing in an effort to maintain subscribers. Yes, I said subscribers. 73, Jim

Jim thanks for sharing your certification of forty years with the ARRL.
Some might not appreciate your dedication to the league and brotherhood over the years, as I have. I also recently received my Fifty year certificate. But in reality sixty six years first as an Associate Member in 1957. We are proud!
Congratulations Jim!
Thanks for all you have done and continue to do.
I’ve only been licensed for a month, but find your videos informative, and easy to follow.
73.
Congratulations! And thank you for all your help through the years!

Congratulations Jim! I graduated from high school in Granada Hills, CA 60 years ago.
Congrats Jim !!!
You are a tuff act to follow.
Hi Jim,
Well deserved. This is my 48th year being licensed. Hope you are feeling well. You do look good in the video. Stay safe. 73 WJ3U

S, Jim. Well deserved! Looking forward to more of your videos. Alan KZ6B
Thanks Alan. The next videos are about a vacuum and then comparing N and UHF connectors. I missed out meetings the last few weeks due to illness. 73, Jim
Wow Congratulations Jim 👍👍👍👍
Congrats Jim!! Sounds like someone is paying attention! Hmm...
Congratulations Jim 😊 I will be licensed 62 years in March (1962).
I was an ARRL member from 1963,
August, until 2017, February.
I did receive my 50 year pin too,
a while ago.i will be 80 in May 2024.
73 de W2CH Ray, New Hampshire. 😊
Congratulations on 62 years. We have had lots of fun Ray. 73, Jim
@ham-radio Thanks Jim.
You are an icon in ham radio! Congrats. Given whats going on in the ARRL and what you have pointed out I hope its not cheap feeling. 73

THANK YOU MR JIM I HOPE SOMEHOW I KNOW LIKE YOU THANK YOU I ADMIRE YOU VERY MUCH
I AM KI5UOI THANK YOU MR 73
Thanks Jim
Congrats Jim, that is very nice. I should be seeing one of those soon but I dropped membership for a year or two during my time so maybe not. Hope to chat on the air again, hear you on once in a while but never get back to you, kind of busy just at the time. Very 73...Larry, wd0akx
I got a certificate for ten years, but I'm in awe of 40. But I got a late start. I worked MARS radio in the Signal Corps during the Vietnam war, and planned to get a ham ticket when I got out, but I didn't get the proverbial Round Tuit until forty years later. Congratulations, Jim. =Gary AK2QJ
Congratulations Jim. You be the man! 73 AA7MO
Congratulations Sir.
Congratulations Jim
Well deserved Jim!
Congratulations JIm.
I received my 40th yesterday as well. Congrats to us! 73, KC7ES

Awesome achievement Jim! Thank you for all the videos!
Congratulations, Jim. You deserved it.
Thanks George. I had to stop Chemo for this week. We will talk on the phone soon. I have been in bed for much of the last two weeks. Skype also quit working again. CUL de W6LG dit dit
Jim, Thanks for sharing your award with us. Better recognition of your hard work was given by the ARRL section Chief that gave a presentation at Quartzfest and was shared on UA-cam by Randy K7AGE. Keep up your good work of being our UA-cam Elmer!! 73, Ed N6LRC
Much appreciated! Randy is a dear friend and nice guy. We used to be neighbors and have coffee with the other hams in the area. He is an asset to amateur radio. We had our first QSO when he was living on the east coast probably 58 years ago when he was WA2AGE. 73, Jim W6LG

Congratulations Jim ! 73 KB3ZWR
Congrats on the award Jim and Thank you for posting your videos
Thanks 👍
Congratulations Jim! I'm a bit behind you, just passing 40 years licensed last December. I just 'resubscribed' recently after a 20 year gap, so no certificates for me I guess. Although I do not agree with how things are being managed currently, I am getting more value from membership now than what we got 20 years ago for sure. - 73, Brian AA4QW
Congratulations, you deserve the accolades Jim.
Thanks Brian. That is very kind. 73, Jim

Better at bookkeeping, broadcasting than listening😂 Thanks for your service, Jim!
Thanks Erik. 73, Jim
Big Congrats on 60 Years as a licenced HAM, Elmer Jim. Good Job. And tnx for all you for HAM Radio. 73 de Uncle Günter, DK5ONV 💯🍻👏
Many thanks! And I did watch the video. It was fun and interesting. May I use that video here? Thanks again. Jim
W6LG Radio Amateur ELMER? Poor words
So cool. Now we need to find a pill that will make us 60 years younger.
Congrats Jim and well earned !!
Congrats Jim! 73 de W4QXL
Congratulations!(???), this is bittersweet.
Loyalty was also interesting. I would have written it differently. But maybe that is just me. 73, Jim
Congrats, Jim. I see the attention to details continues at HQ ! (Some better than others).
Indeed! 73, Jim
A notable achievement and you clearly stand to be recognized for it. It also means you are one of the few that might be able to provide insight into how the ARRL has been managed over the years by various directors and how their changing focus areas and visions have helped or harmed the League. Perhaps you would like to share this in a future post.
Also, you have a considerable collection of Boat Anchors and modern radios visible in the background. A video tour of the Shack would be a nice touch, with some commentary of the notable rigs and gear.
Regards,
Dave
Dave, that would take days to write and get it right. I don't have that much time or energy. I am most concerned about the current Board having secret meetings with a majority in attendance. The lack of notes and an agenda is worrisome. There's a majority but only those who are invited and have taken the oath. Thanks David, 73, Jim
Good for you Jimmy, I'd imagine they wish to keep you a happy man...
Great!
Congratulations, I will be 100yrs when I get my 40yr plaque.
Congratulations Jim...and it's well deserved! We need more like you in the hobby. Incidentally I heard you calling CQ on 20M SSB yesterday but unfortunately you couldn't hear me. 73 de Scott W1AL (licensed 45 years this month)
Sorry Scott. I wished we could have had a QSO. I am dealing with huge noise in your direction. I am again considering the NCC2. The guys at DX Engineering have been good to me. Trying to explain to the XYL a $1000 would not be easy. 73, Jim
Congrats! Been licensed for about 43 or 44 years. 🇨🇦
It is a long time for both of us. 73, Jim W6LG
W6LG is quite the Radio Elmer. Reviewing your previous postings about ARRL they present you with a HARD EARNED Certificate and pin. What a honor for such a well spoken supporter of the only Amateur Radio Organization speaking up for all Hams. Many that see your postings should admire your unselfish advocacy for the ARRL and your wanting if to flourish. I'm W2HP licensed since 1954. ARRL member. Charter Life Member since 1966.
Very nice of the ARRL. I just received the same certificate and pin for 60 years membership most of which has been as a Life Member
Congrats Jim.
Congratulations! I won't be receiving that "award" because I am letting my membership expire this year. "Very" 73!
I suspect that many will leave this year due to the Board of Directors and the CEO. 73, Jim
Amazing you got them as you have brought out the truth in how corrupt they are.
I thought the same thing. I am sure those awards going out on everyone's anniversary's are an automated function. After two videos putting the board and it's CEO on blast, not allowing it to happen would have also been a little shocking, and would have brought some more negative video's being posted by others than yourself Jim after your anniversary passed and it did not arrive.
Either way it is sort of ironic, and i wonder if you had a chuckle when you received it. In light of the negative as of late, a personal note would have been a better thing along with those maybe.
But the fact remains, you have been a member for forty years and it is an achievement that is undeniable and deserved. Congrats!!
I thought at first it was a joke by someone. The pin and note were kind of hidden in the package. Chuckle, yes I did and yes I am this morning. 73, Jim
@@ham-radio It doesn't look like a joke to me. You've loyally paid your dues for a long time and they really appreciate that.
You are now a member of The Country Club!!!
Who knew? 73, Jim
Congratulations Jim on your Loyalty award ... I haven't received anything from the ARRL in my 48 years with the league . 73 de Kevin NN3E
Congrats Jim😁
Congrats Jim, but did I detect some (slight rather than considered) pauses in your impeccable delivery?
I recorded it 4 times to get that timing right. The note was the hardest to read due to the awkward wording. Thanks for listening. I am sure that was not easy to do. 73, Jim
Congratulations Jim. I am a bit behind you at 41 years licenced. If I make it to age 75 that will be my 60th anniversary of being licenced. What is your secret to staying interested? I try and set challenges. Last year I tried to work 100 countries with indoor antennas and low power. I got to 102 by New Year. This year I am doing a 10MHz/10m dual band challenge to optimise my systems for those bands and see what I can do with them. 73, GM4SVM
I am always building and learning as a result. Thanks again Gordon.
W6LG Radio Amateur ELMER? Poor words
And just to think a few days ago you were calling for them all to be expelled or to step down. Lol. It's a wonderful world.
Ive been licensed for 52 years but left the ARRL
Congratulations!! You are a great asset to the amateur radio community!
reminds me of my 30 year anniversary with the state.......cupcakes and a cup of coffee....and oh yes...that certificate!
Where's my cupcake? 73, Jim W6LG
Love your videos and congrats! Unfortunately your mic EQ is so pinched on UA-cam, I struggle to make it through a whole video (akin to fingers down chalkboard, maybe just my TV surround setup!). Probably great for busting through the pileup, less so when your 72" wide!. Bring us some of the old high fidelity love, your voice has a perfect frequency response and sounds great stock!
The mic is a Shure SM7b. I don't do processing, equalizing or compression. There's a box that converts XLR to 1/4 inch stereo plug. That in turn is adapted to the 1/8 inch size for the headset input on the computer. I will go listen to the audio now. 73, Jim
Is this like the lifetime achievement award 🥇 😊
For me, it is. I don't have much time left. I was not able to continue with the chemo. 73, Jim
@@ham-radiowell to me , you deserve a lot more than a pen and paper. You’ve been a mentor in the hobby since before I was born.

Hank, we have had lots of fun during these almost 60 years. Take care my friend, Jim W6LG
Looks like the conversation from analog to digital goofed. 🎉 Congratulations!
It is! Thanks, Jim
I bet you got a kick out that 😂.
