ive tried both on and i actually like the heel on the pro better. i have better lockdown in the pro and in the elite because of the curve it like stabs the back of my heel
@@BootWizard I've tried the Pro ag model and honestly am pretty disappointed. After playing pickup once on turf, every time I dribbled it felt like I was slipping and could never make dynamic cuts when dribbling - I always had to take more touches with the outside of my foot when dribbling with the outside of my foot to turn. When dribbling even in a straight line I felt I always had to lunge forward and catch up to the ball because I wasn't getting enough traction in the ground. Note that this was on very tight knit turf so perhaps the studs couldn't penetrate/grip as much but still. Next session on the same pitch I wore Tiempo academy FG and had a much better experience.
The biggest issue I have with the elite is the fact the upper gets dirty so easily and holds onto dirt more than almost any other boot I’ve ever seen! In Ireland so needless to say I got the all black colour way to try avoid this muddy look being as obvious 😂
Yeah I agree, when I watch pros play in the elite vapors I can barely differentiate if they are the all black colorway or the blue colorway lol. Its definitely because of the gripknit upper
Ever since nike started incorporating knitted materials on their first tier takedowns like the vapor 13, I've always said those are gonna be the best of both worlds... similar overall feel and experience as the elite models but waay cheaper
Indeed, I think they're not quite hitting the heights of some older ones now, but they're still very good compared to what you pay for the elite. The 12 stands out as a fantastic takedown
I think that the 16 pro is more close to a 15 elite than an actually a 16, which for a lot of us is a good thing, i still think the 15 is a better boot. Gripknit is actually really good, but they should have kept it for the Phantom only and maybe as they don't do leather anymore would be nice to see a tiempo in grip knit, that would be amazing. But the mercurial for me is all about raw feeling on the ball, which grip knit manipulate a bit, if you know what i mean! Amazing boot, BUT.

Rip for the guy at 10:43
Hahahaha I didn't even see that 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I do enjoy the toe box of the pro, but the upper on elite is unreal. Snug but also very comfy and accommodating. Great review James!
Yeah you really can't beat the upper on the elite. Pro is a decent option, but that elite upper takes it for me.
Thanks for watching:).

Fair enough, at least you found the one that suits you.
I really didn't get on with that straight heel! Biggest issue with the boot for me personally
I use the turf version of these, fantastic given you can pick them up for around $100 on sale
Nice! I haven't tried the TF but heard good things.

The elites are impossible to keep clean!

I am usually quite impressed with Nike first tier takedown models
The first Mercurial drop downs have almost always be excellent value for money.
Indeed, I think they're not quite hitting the heights of some older ones now, but they're still very good compared to what you pay for the elite. The 12 stands out as a fantastic takedown
@@BootWizard True, and for me part of that comes down to them constantly raising the price.
@@derbyyank13 that's a very good point. A €130 First tier takedown is far more appealing than €160
@BootWizard Exactly. But that'd mean they'd have to lower the price of their high end boots and they're loathe to do that
Did you find the predator pro
Yes I did. There will be a review but there's a lot of other reviews to come first

I actually don't think it's much like the 15 personally but everyone likes different things. 👍

Hello I am back
Hi
🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Welcome
its funny how the takedown nike football boots cost as much as the top end rugby nike boots...
I didn't know that! That's crazy
@BootWizard and their top end rugby boots look just as premium as the elite football boots
