Amanda you are using the cutting board the wrong side. You need to flip it over, the rubber pads on the corners are there so the board doesn’t slide when you are cutting on it.

I have a question: what are your rules of halal? I know that halal meat is big in NYC, and there are halal butchers/grocers here, but you and your sisters seem to follow something else. Are there rules around basic groceries!
Many Arabs consider chicken from Christian/Jewish sellers halal.
@@21972012145525This is true. Here in the UK, most Arabs/ Middle Eastern or Eastern European Muslims eat chicken, beef, mutton etc( non zabiha). They say that the animals are halal so it’s not necessary to buy certified halal. Then the Muslims from South Asia strictly buy Zabiha halal meat. We also have halal butchers in nearly every city so it’s available everywhere. Large supermarkets also sell it.
We only eat halal meat. So the meat from a regular grocery store is not halal and we can not eat it
there are different opinions from different scholars about what is considered halal meat. I have noticed many Arabs are comfortable with eating meat that is not certified halal whereas Muslims from South Asia are usually very strict about it. SubahanAllah our ummah is so diverse. at the end of the day, as with anything, it’s an individual’s decision to make based on their knowledge and the Islamic scholars they follow.
I was thinking the same thing, I’m from the uk and it’s so easy to access halal meat that when I saw a lot of Americans not eating halal I was shocked but everyone’s different. I thought it would be easy to access halal meat cause there’s a lot of Muslims in America now 🤷🏽♀️
