Nice...as far as plates...I went to metal supermarket and got them to cut 1x6 inch flat stock to make new plates. Popped indexing pins in them and they are in there nice...way better than the cast plates. Nice mods, good ideas.
I made the same move to the air jack. I cut the top of the original jack off and welded it to the bottom of the beam directly under the new jack because it has an adjustable post on it which helps with the jack having to travel to much. I like the mods you made.
i made my press out of old bridge girder angle iron riveted together for the sides and 8 in deep channel for the bed and top plates i put a bushing with a set bolt to hold my press pins in dont have a lathe to get the pins perfect but they work pretty good would like to get a brake for it and a foot valve for the air jack i have put on it great vid thanks for the ideas
Real nice job. I really like the pins and holder. I saw another video were the guy place small round great earth magnets in the pins from the Jack and they seemed to hold the additional pins just fine. I subbed.
I have tried I believe every kind off lube known to man for tapping harder metals, mainly AR400 and 500 and I have found I break very few taps using Castrol moly d. Tried tap magic before and didn't do much good.
Thanks for the video! My HF air/hydraulic pump failed some time ago. I've had it apart, cleaned, lubed it, checked all lines, etc and see no cause for the problem. It is dead. The BOTTLE works fine manually as it always did, but I cannot find any source for just the air pump (cannot afford the bottle+pump assembly again) - any clues? Note: I do have a regular floor model pedal air pump for a CH-70 punch press, but do not see how to connect it to the HF 20 ton bottle. ANY comments, links, or clues welcome! Thanks again!

"Pay for it's real estate" Good phrase I'll try to remember that. It's an extremely important issue.

Thank you. I use the press all the time now. Ran something through it last night :-)

Do you still make and sell the know for pressure release?? Great idea!
I don’t. You can buy one from SWAG off-road. Both aluminum and printed
Great improvements! Any chance you would share the cad file for the holder for the extension rods?
Thanks
Paul
Hi Paul. Sure. I will put the file up online later tonight when I get home. I will include one with my logo and one without 🙂

Thanks!
@@1soundguypaul well, Wordpress won’t let me post the .dwg files. Send me a note to matt(at)mattofmanytrades(dot)com and I will send you the files.
@@1soundguypaul did you get the files?
@@MattofManyTrades yes I did thank you very much.
Paul
how thick is the metal?
which? The bender material (.250") or the post holder (.125")? Or test material (cold Rolled .250")?
Tried 3D printing finger dies?
no, they would not hold up to the work I do.
