my husband and i just got one, an 8 window with wheel chair lift, we are in our late 60's so the lift will be helpful to us, we love what you have done but we are not sure if we are going to enjoy life on the road so we are going to travel first with minimum camping supplies. and in a year if we like it we will do improvisations.
Great idea. I plan to keep our lights and also use them for forward driving at night (with no oncoming traffic) and the rear for backing. Thanks for the lesson on how to do it.
Yeah, they are so bright! Just be careful. During the process we learned that in many states it’s unlawful to drive with them on even if there are no other cars 😳
I guess im asking the wrong place but does any of you know of a method to get back into an instagram account..? I stupidly forgot the password. I love any tricks you can give me
@Orion Franklin thanks so much for your reply. I found the site thru google and im in the hacking process atm. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Orion Franklin DAMN IT REALLY WORKED :O Just hacked my instagram account within about 45 mins of using the site. Just had to pay 15 bucks but definitely worth it =) Thanks so much, you saved my ass !
just watched. those are halogn bulbs. dont put you fingers on the glass oil from skin will caus failure. wear glove clean with alcahol. as for covers different states have rules on the lights. when riding on streets they cannot be on. drivers might think you letting kids off if red or yellow lit. rear clear to use as backup or parked lights good idea front i just cover.also paint out school sign is good practice
That’s a great idea! We should have looked into that. (Disclaimer for others reading this: your state may vary in what is allowed-do your own research)
Good point, and we thought about it. Since they’ll only be on when the bus is running, we figured the power draw doesn’t matter as much as it would otherwise (on house bank). We’ll wait until they burn out and then do the LED swap. Good idea!
Quick question, what are the square part that have a bus bar running on one side, of them with the positive wire. And another wire on the other side. Are those fuses or resistors. Please help.
Hi, wondering why you couldn’t just bypass the flasher relay or controller, so when you turn on warning lights they stay on? Seems it would be easier. I am wanting to do that on mine but I don’t have the fuse door like yours so not sure where they are.
So this is the part that I'm most nervous about, I want to completely repurpose my old command board and rewire a lot of everything.. it looks like y'all are doing a really good job.
@@TaleOfTwoSmittys the front dash panel is in good shape. Beside the driver's seat is is where all my toggle switches are located. I plan on installing new lights and ectronicts for inside and outside the bus. I would like to replace the old toggles with a brand new toggles switch set up with everything I want, without the stuff I will not be using, like stop sign, real heater, ect. I believe I am going to keep the orange lights up top but I will switch them to the flashing side and remove the red one all together, replacing it with a clear lenses. I have a fairly detailed idea of what I want to add and what I want to do. Unfortunately I do not have an old bus wiring guru so I'm part of the UA-cam academy.
@@TaleOfTwoSmittys well I'm very glad that you had that help available! I know that I will either figure it out or eventually get somebody to help me do it. Follow me back on Instagram 7th_day_buslife to amuse yourself with the struggle. 🙃🤔
dog gone it I’ve been been watching your build I’m starting like you guys it’s all I need is another channel to watch on UA-cam I’ll have to delete one of the other ones LOL I found you guys through #TioAventura

We ended up deleting our front ones but the rears we bought aftermarket led ones and using them as brake and turning signals.
That’s a great idea! We should have looked into that.

I would replace with LED

@@TaleOfTwoSmittys Just make sure not to get the ones with the IC Chip! That makes them strobe! As seen in txstreetman's LED video.
Yeah, no strobe!!
U all did "not " tear out and insulate ceing and walls? just wondered..
Correct! We did add insulation in some areas (some walls, several windows), but we didn’t tear out any exterior walls or ceiling.
A link for the light covers the clear ones
Do you have
We’re actually still searching for them! Can’t find them in that size 😭 we’ll let you know if we find them!
Look at Navigation Nowhere most recent video.they upgraded dales flasher lights with led. I'm looking too

Did y’all have to add those relays, or were they already there?
Sorry I missed this comment! We added one relay, but we had help from Laura's dad. I couldn't explain how we did it! =(

Thank you! We had some help. Without it, we would’ve been lost. What type of repurposing are you planning?
