Can you label the shelves. Even with just a post it note or a piece of painters tape or something. May help from ither stuff creeping in. ( Wishful thinking.... Nothing in my house is labeled. 🤣 I just like taht you have a purpose for each shelf and want you to experiance that staying that way. I am a shover though. )
We homeschool under the umbrella of a charter school. So basically we just get funds from the charter to use on school supplies and anything we buy from them eventually gets returned when we are done with it. 👍🏼

Small sections work best for me. A shelf a drawer a cabinet. A section if counter or a flat surface.
