Need to preheat the engine with a hair dryer or heat gun. Run an OS LC 4 glow plug and VP Racing 30% nitro. Change to lower gears. See break-in procedures on line. Need to richen the car setting too. Change out the stock tuned pipe for the low end, midrange Traxxas pipe. Takes practice and patience. Don't give up.
You have to tune a nitro car every time you drive it. You can't just leave one setting and keep driving it. There are a lot of good tuning videos on UA-cam. It takes practice, you can hear and see on the video, it's too lean. That will kill a nitro quick.
Don’t know if you moved on from the engine, but always go with a rich setting for the break in but obviously not too rich to where it’s not hot enough to burn fuel. I’ve had good results with the traxxas break in method, go through all 5 tanks and the tune it on the 6th tank for performance but once again never too lean.

What if it bogs down when going full throttle?
It was my biggest mistake with this Nitro model
I didn't see no smoke from the exhaust pipe
Was this the first run? Truck looked brand new
This was like the third run
