🎣 that trout magnet kit is Awesome. I also notice this, it seems like there's more white than any other colors in there. anyway nicely well done with the videos and the catches too. Yeah it's like maybe 57° here in Pennsylvania but it feels like fall instead of spring. it's nice and cool, I'll take this type of weather over a hot summer days anytime.
Love fishing with trout magnets, hate the fact that the hooks dull so quick. I noticed youre using the addicted steelhead float, id highly recommend you switch to the panfish float and make sure to put 2 copper weights on it. Ive noticed especially in clear water the smaller profile makes a huge difference.
Hopefully my home hacked trout magnet lures will work. I don't know why here in Saskatchewan they sell bass lures as there is only one location in the entire Provence that has bass... But bass lures like Yum worms when sliced up hopefully will work for trout. 😅 Sorry but there are no stores that sell trout magnets and shipping prices to get something from the states is brutal so most canadian gets creative with their lures.
@@HangwithJT The Dollorama in my nearest city FINALLY is selling fishing stuff and they finally were selling the aforementioned Trout Magnet mini packs. I never realized how hard 1/64th oz jig heads could be to find. :P so I bought 4 packs of them and now have more bobbers than I know what to do with. rofl! but more awesome is they are selling other types of mini curly tail jigs! So I have an entire trout tackle bag and mini rods all on a shoestring budget... and not a single place to fish that isn't either super far away or super pressured. :P
I find cut the half part of the body off and ditch that hook its too big change it to the mini trout magnet hook or a size 12 will increase hook ups those hooks are way to big
What Trout Magnet Challenge Should I Do Next?

The trout love white too! a really good colored bait in moving water!

what rod setup do you have for getting the bait that far out? i have a 5ft UL and i cant get it out nearly that far.
I have a 7 1/2 or a 6 1/2 foot rod. The key is using 10lb braided mainline and a 1/3oz weight. Casts super far!
great video. I started using TMs last year with great success. What bobbers are you using?
I am using the Addicted Fishing orange colored bobbers. They cast a mile and work great!
Do you just tie it to the main line? I wanna catch something with this kit but I've had no luck yet
I tie my braided mainline to about 7ft of mono, so I can slid the bobber up and down and tie the trout magnet hook to the mono
Nice I like trout magnet 👍
Thanks Gman! I hope the fishing has been treating you well!
@@WillyFish it’s good in my neck of the woods. Thanks 👍
A smaller float works even better !! I use the trout magnet EZ-Float ….. works perfect !! Or for farther casting I use the 3/4” Northland Lite-bite
Nice trout, a few misses for sure. Thanks.
You got that right!
Do you jig it or just let it sit there?
I caught a steelhead with that on a 4lb test line ultra light rod and reel
I love a steelhead fight on light line!

Slicing up worms works well too!
I’ve seen the small trout magnet kits at select Dollarama! I’m going to get one tomorrow and hit up the pond.

@@diaryofagoat-lass1023 this is great news!! I picked up a couple of packs yesterday and I’m going to try them out this weekend! Tight lines 🎣
I'm in Alberta.Could not find this locally.Ordered the ™ kit on Amazon and it was delivered next day--no freight charge either.
I take trout magnet with me every time I go fishing.
💯
What do you use for bobbers?
It was a addicted fishing bobber he was using
@@brandongalindo8892 much appreciated!
Yes, it's an Addicted Fishing bobber in the orange!!!
I have yet to catch a trout with a trout magnet but I have been able to get bass and sun fish 😂
Right on Jesus! one of these days you might get that trout!
Not your same, local pond? Doesn't look like the lake you used to fish either. Could just be a different spot, or my memory is gone. 😅
It's a spot I have fished before, somewhat local to my house.
That's about all I use around me and usually do well.
right on Logan! what's your favorite color?
Jig it without a bobber on 2lb test leader & you’ll get more aggressive bites
I find cut the half part of the body off and ditch that hook its too big change it to the mini trout magnet hook or a size 12 will increase hook ups those hooks are way to big
It's so funny to hear thus guy talk when he hooks up. He starts grunt talking like he has a 30# red fish on roflmao
what can I say, I always think I have a biggin on!!!
Also you were fishing the wrong colors. dark colors for dark conditions, not bright colors.
So how do we know what colors to use ? Just for my reference when I go fishing.
