For those that don't have the "Adobe skin" and having issues with the Shooting floor peaks being closed off by roof tiles , just use a floor tile there and u will have extra storage space below the tile and can put 2 beds on top of it on both sides ( U have to make the roof tiles extending outwards from the half walls later if u want to put two beds) Also, U can move the Spawn cabins One foundation further if u want a bigger compound that can hold large furnaces or just bigger compound in general Great base at this build cost !
I followed the instructions and did your design in all sheet metal and HQ, I have been raided 3 times so far on hardcore official server, 1) just a large wood wall missing, 2) raided from the top- a garage door missing they used ladders and somehow broke both turrets, I had one top bunker open (oops) 3) The latest raid, I logged on and the whole side of base was blasted through as they got center TC, furnace room & box, but they did not get the 6 boxes loot room or the two bunkers on roof. Easy repair, mostly doors, a triangle foundation, a large wood wall, 2 normal sheet metal walls and 3 turrets to replace. I was using industrial stuff to feed TC's and kept the TC mostly empty. This is a very nice design, Its a bit tricky to build unless you do it all at one go since some of the foundation triangles decay until the outer TC's are built. This is my new best'ee. Thanks.

Actually @Dust I have been building this, and at 10:57 the bunker vending machine palcement is funky. It is the right way to fit both of them, but the right vending machine is lootable when destroying the sheet wall frame on the right side.
I think one of the most underrated things about this design is the small compound. I've been leaning towards compound-less bases now that its not as needed for large furnaces. However I don't like having my front doors immediately exposed... but Compounds are easy for grubs to hide behind. HOWEVER, this base has a small enough compound, with the reverse roofs peaking a bit over the walls, you can clear grubs or people trying to Hide decently well out there. A++ Dust, will build this for sure.
The compounding is expensive resources for no extra protection for your TC / loot. I am still not a fan. This base is super cheap to raid for the resources it has. It's super intelligently laid out otherwise, especially those sexy turrets and thoughtful angles. I prefer still to devote all my resource to actual honeycombing though. Have you tried HBHF sensors tied to a siren / alarm system so you know if someone is at your door?

Can’t wait to try this! I’ve gotten so established on my server with your Duo’s Den base that I don’t ever close my doors. People have yet to successfully reach beyond the first set of doors where the turrets sit. Granted, I’m on a server that only allows offlines between noon and 8pm, so I can be guaranteed to be online during most raids. Still, I’ve held it 1v6!

Very unique base design. I really enjoyed building it, Thank you. I'd say forget the whole wooden door frame chopping. Just finish the top of the jump up in stone. It's not that much more stone considering the starting cost is already extremely low.
He just joined me in a ukn sandbox server and made the most beautiful back I have ever seen I hope he reads this btw the name was littlered44mag it was an honor having you in my game.
Used this base on a quad server as a solo and got offlined, they splashed through the stone gate and woodwall then they hit the armored wall where the TC was and went to my 6 box lootroom, but didn't have enough boom or didn't know about the vending machine bunkers. They took down my turrets pretty fast because i was dumb enough to put my smart switches in TC room.
As a rust console player I really enjoyed building the nomad but bases that lack large furnaces and use chain link fences are pretty crappy as we don’t have electric furnaces and chain link fences allow arrows spears to be shot and thrown through
you kinda forgot to mention that the triangle foundations you built with the multi tc gap at 7:45 arent actually connected to anything and will decay. i logged off after building the external tc bedrooms and the triangles decayed and now i cant rebuild them due to the bedroom square foundation being in the way.. bit of a oversight there but i guess i'll jackhammer out a metal foundation to fix it.....

@@d0gog442 idk man, Ceeg is the only person Ive seen that has done double wide gaps. Ceeg also puts more thought into his roofs. They both have strengths and weaknesses. But they're both top tier creators.

Did you build it recently? I had trouble with building errors around the bunkers. Also, do you know if you should be able to open the bunkers without destroying the external tc’s?
Finally a credible Rust youtuber with a non-large-furnace base design.. Just STAPH.. we don't need large furnaces anymore. It screams 'RAID ME' (Definitely not talking to Dust) + electric furnaces exist 1:40
Yup! I haven't used large furnaces since the electric furnaces came out. They're super compact and can fit just about anywhere, don't require wood, and large furnaces aren't even an efficient way of getting charcoal in the first place.
everytime i make one of these bases theres always something they dont think about explaining, the bunker on the top part of the base wont attach due to the low stablity on your foundations.
Really like the design overall. Trying to understand the bunker. So it has a HQM wall but the back walls are stone. Would you not take out the back stone wall to get to the vending machines? (sorry new to bunkers here).
The most affordable, and strong base design out there.. someone could give me twice the materials it costs to make something just as good and id still have a shitty expanded 1x2.
So... I came across an issue ^^ no matter I do, I can't place the bunker wall . It stays red with the error "can't build here". half wall places with no issue, but that defeats the purpose of the bunker, I guess. xD I wonder where the mistake might be. Other than that, this serves my duo well on our monthly wipe
Love this base design! I do have a question, though. I see a lot of these compound style bases use wood external walls instead of stone. Why is that? Genuinely just curious!
Love the base, but I don't get what the batteries close to the externals are used for. Do you connect them all together in case one fails? Also I don't have the adobe skin, but I used a half wall, floor and raised ramp on it, and it works fine. Any better suggestions?
Building it rn and I think it’s messed up because of one foundation I had to higher. So make sure if u build this it’s flat. Mine was flat but for some reason there’s a small bump but oh well
I can’t figure out why the roof triangle won’t connect to outer TC side , for the second vending machine bunker, it doesn’t wanna connect so I can’t use bunker , any help ?

at 1:11 that floating turret at the gatehouse is a easy soft side other than that no serious faults in the base
you also have to pay money to use the ramp peak at 3:20 awesome base tho

To fit large furnaces, just use 3 high walls instead of 2 per side

The same thing happened to me it’s very upsetting that I can’t finish the base anymore
@@willboyle9512 I was able to finish the base but I had to pick out the metal square foundation and the stone walls on either side of the foundation

Vending machines can only be looted from one side! They take 9 rockets to break, and they despawn half the loot if you break them.

Totally up to you. There's not really a reason to though because the door path cost is the same as the wall cost.
