Don't know how many times I've seen red light jumpers only to catch up with them at next set of lights 😂😂😂
I despair for road safety in Northern Ireland. As soon as drivers get the test, what they've learned is forgotten and it's a free-for-all. Once drivers are in their cars, they become cocooned in their own little world and forget about the world outside. As a cyclist, motorcyclist and car driver, I've seen it all and it's just getting worse, as these clips show. Our roads aren't the problem, it's the drivers.
Sometimes large vechicles need to split lanes while turning left or right. Reason is so the large vechile does not come in contact with other vehicles while turning. Reason large vehicles have a tile swing look it up in the code.
I remember the days when Belfast was almost the epitome of safe driving. I couldn't live there now, for eevery time I visit, the standards have dropped consequentially. I ride a motorcycle, and every time I visit Belfast (as well as other parts of NI) I feel like I'm taking my last ride! The driving standards are now so appalling I leave my bike (or car if I'm taking family) at the hotel and use the local transport - it's much safer! When I Lived there during the 60's and 70's, driving in Belfast was a joy, and bad driving was not exactly non-existent, but it wasn't an everyday thing to witness; but, one really does take one's life into one's hands! I would not live there now for all the tea in China! Rush Hour is a real nightmare, and I wonder how commuters manage to live with it.
@@reggriffiths5769 you’re so right Reg, the standard of driving in NI in general gets that little bit worse every day.
So many knobends hit that craigantlet bridge its ridiculous lol
Not surprised to see Newtownards here. It's wild.
Keeping hoping to see my self but never do. 😂
Worst part in NI is that they barely use blinkers
True. This is pretty much the same on the whole island of Ireland I noticed, not just NI. as a cyclist, when over taken it is not used more than 5% of the time....in SPain or France where I cycled a lot, it is used around 85%
just out of curiosity reckon you'll ever start uploading again?
I would love to, life has just taken a bit of a turn and no time at all to edit and upload at the moment but who knows…. Watch this space! 😉
2:15 green thing enters roundabout before biker, biker in the wrong and should have slowed down.
Lol seen my car sitting at x.v there ❤😂
At 5.55. The truck turning left. It is entitled to move to the right first. It is a large vehicle and doesn't want to hit the kerb. lights or other street furniture. Go look it up in the highway code.
I don’t need to look that up I already know. Just so you are aware that particular clip has nothing to do with the truck turning left, it’s the idiot in the Audi you need to focus on and the road markings prior to the lights
7:20 I hate when this happens. No other piece of courtesy you show on the road gets met with such inconsideration. It boggles the mind!
Ik im 4 years late but phillips clips seem to happen to every biker in antrim, they never watch out, just earlier today i was near hit 5 times on the one road
Hi could you tell me what kind of dashcam you are using what model thanks
Nextbase 312g but that’s really old bow need an upgrade, possibly a 512g 👍🏻
In half of the situations this bike driver acts like he needs to be removed from the road for everybody's safety
Have watch them all now to see if im on one 😂 hope not.
@5:41 woohoo finaghy!
@@dashcamsni9190 im not surprised, that junction is fucking nightmare, the lights are green for about 5 seconds and then you have to wait a full 5 minutes to get back through again. Some sympathy for breaking the rules there I wont lie :')
What is about the Ballysallagh Rd bridge that people don't get, I was on the road that morning too - pain in the a$$
Absolutely! Was an overseas driver so in that case probably not great with English but at least he stopped and got turned around!
4:29 happened because the idiot in the van stopped short and waved the car out and the idiot in the Land Rover coming the other way stopped to let them out as well. I see this all the time now. It’s lethal.
GuTWorm68 yeah I totally agree but even taking that into account the Yaris should have been looking for oncoming traffic. I think judging by the way they entered the road they knew a car was approaching but just didn’t really care.
It’s happening because the penalties are not severe enough for these examples of poor driving standards, partially caused by poor quality driving schools and the renewal of full licences without the requirement to do a driving test - if someone is caught by a police officer, it should mean automatic seizure/confiscation of the vehicle, lifetime driving ban and blacklisted for life from getting vehicle insurance - no wasting time with getting it through the courts either, just put the details into the database and get these people off the roads permanently
So many of these in antrim😂😂
i was at the motorcyclist one i seen him just crash and he was lying in the grass
hello! this is my newest channel cuz i just got a dashcam and caught a person in a renault megane blocking the road at glen parade
2:24, Phillips friend, that black Vauxhall Insignia was on the roundabout before you. The rules of the road state you give way to traffic on the right. Since he was on the roundabout before you, neither your or Phillip can blame the Vauxhall. Watch it closely
No one is blaming the car, thats why it says he needs to watch himself. I brought this up with him when we stopped and he said he was distracted looking at the other motorcycle
1 year since last upload ?
Yes bud, not had the time it takes to edit and as a result of no new vids people stop sending stuff through so not as much content either. Will try and get back to it soon.
@@Mufc2382 not that I know of used to be up there quite a bit but not any more. Know anyone then get them to send them my way 👍🏻
The quality of driving has plummeted and peoples attitudes towards others basically stink. I hate driving nowadays.
"Phillip", would appear to be a Diddy
At 4 mins no need to leave that gap no yellow box
Yeah there is no yellow box granted but if you can’t clear a junction then you shouldn’t attempt to go through and possibly block it for other road users coming from a different direction.
@@dashcamsni9190 its not blocking anyone for one more car at that junction because anyone wanting that lane off the link as you say can't block anyone by entering the junction blocking the hole lane and anyone going to the rest of the lanes have room should have a box to allow the right turn. Yeah highway code says about not entering junction but it's not enforced without the yellow box. Way I see it if it's not enforced it's not illegal I wouldn't block anyone a few junctions tho if you don't push through some lanes never move a single car at peak times, this isn't one of those just saying it's not illegal and sometimes its necessary. I wouldn't do it in a test I don't know or see single person drives like they are.
Bit long winded lol yes you are correct but no harm or consequences with one extra car on that que.
Still slightly better than America.
Wouldn't be hard. Your average American believes driving is their God given right (just like everything else) and so God help ANYONE who gets in their way!
Another biker who thinks that bombing up to a roundabout means you don’t have to give way to traffic entering it before you. For your own sake, look at the Highway Code.
Westlink's a nightmare for people jumping lights! I was coming off the M2 once onto Westlink, and as I approached the traffic lights under the Lagan bridge they went from green back to amber. I knew I had enough time to slow down and stop safely, so I did, only for the lad in the car behind mine to blast his horn, flash his lights and make a very obscene hand gesture at me. I think he was pissed that I didn't floor it so he could go through the lights after me. Thing is, if I had, I probably would have been crushed by a big truck waiting to join the westlink!
i think that guy was probably new to the westlink, otherwise he would have known that you have to sit in a few traffic lights anyway.
