Bill needs to be more like Bob 😂 Bob is at the point in his life where he doesn’t gaf and just says what it is. Bill Haney is trying WAY too hard to persuade everyone that Haney is some cash cow, p4p, face of boxing fighter. Haney is great but cmon now, you can’t seriously be that naive to what’s going on. Bill Haney is a business man trying to sell you something. They have moved VERY carefully and strategically to get Devin where he is. Haney was at 135 for how long? and never “cleaned” out the division. He fought certain guys with certain styles, certain size, certain age, at the perfect times. His only threat was Loma and he barley scraped passed him. Let’s not ignore how much bigger and younger Haney is than Loma either. Loma’s style and IQ gave Haney a living nightmare. All of Haney’s other opponents have also either been older/smaller, but they all had a style that was tailor made for Haney. None of them had footwork. Only 2 had decent power but their lack of feet made it non threatening to Haney. Mark my words, the moment Haney actually faces an opponent who has amazing feet/distance, speed, the same size or bigger, and has the power to match? It’s over with. They’re choosing very carefully to protect Devin but also getting him belts While they do it. There’s a reason the Haneys jumped up and down when Kambosos beat Teo. They knew it was their moment to swoop down and snag the belts against an opponent half Haneys size, didn’t have too much power, and had the perfect style for Haney to handicap. Kambosos was the actual true champ taking the bigger risk. People taking that away from kambosos by bringing up Haney having to go to Australia twice 🤦♂️ Kambosos has BEEN fighting away from home. Former world champs and world champs in their backyards. Then fights a guy in the top 3 for his first title defense. Haney has never taken the risks like Kambosos has. That’s what he’ll have to do to become great.

Devin Haney's PPV upside is VERY limited based on a couple of things. His style is not fan friendly. He had Regis hurt and didn't go for the stoppage (see Bam Rodriguez' stoppage win over Sunny Edwards last week as an example of how to finish a fight). He also is a semi-unlikable guy and comes off as someone who likes to run his mouth and brag about what he's done. None of these things inspire people to pay to see him.

@IkenFister, I ordered the fight, and you could tell they didn't sell out at the gate because the lights were off in the arena. They turn the lights off to hide all the empty seats. You couldn't even see the fans because it was so dark. If it was a sell-out, the lights would've been on.
They said the gate was good (over a mill) but the ppv was garbage.

Haney vs Regis fight did not move the needle in the business side of boxing. That fight probably did less than 50K. It was most likely Bill's idea to come out with the fake report that it did between 150k to 250k buys which is absolutely absurd. Let me explain for you casual. Devin doesn’t bring anything to the table. So he has no room to negotiate any of the terms. He has to agree to ALL of tanks terms or the fight won’t be made. It doesn’t get any more simple to understand. The ppv numbers will come out but it’s also easy to put an estimate on it. The fight did around 50k-65k at most.

Notice how the Tank fans are accusing Haney of being a weight bully because he weighed 165lbs against Regis Prograis, 9lbs more than Prograis even though the later is a big career 140, but we didn't hear so much as a peep out of any of them when he weighed at the very least 20lbs more than Loma? Why is that?
It's even worse, Loma who is a natural 126 pounder, tiny for 135, was not only 20 + lbs lighter than Haney he was giving away almost six inches in reach to him, fought him with a 36 hour weigh in with no rehydration clause, in Haney's backyard with a US ref and three US judges and even though Loma had all that against him they still needed to rob him.
Do you understand how crazy it it is for a natural 126 pounder to be giving away 20 + lbs and almost six inches in reach? That is a ton of weight for a fighter that small.
Tank forced Barrios and Ryan to agree to rehdration clause even though Barrios only weighed 5-6lbs more than him in the ring and Ryan weighed 148in his previus fight which was 140. Tank comes in at about 146-147lbs
Why did Haney earn $3 mill for fighting a shot inactive way lighter Linares who was 3-2 in his last 5, both losses via KO, in only his second fight at the world level when Loma only earned $1.25 for fighting a prime active much heavier Linares who was ranked #1 at 135, #11 P4P, and hadn't lost in six years? Loma was a two division champ going into that, had fought way better opposition than Haney and was ranked top 3 P4P if I remember rightly.
