THE ALBUM
'Songs from the Seas' is a follow-up to my album 'What the Forest Taught Me', a collection of forest themes from some of my favorite games. Water levels or vast oceans in games have always fascinated me, even since the 8-bit era.
THE ARTWORK
The cover artwork is based on 'Braving the Storm' by illustrator/artist Aric Salyer (check out his work at www.artstation.... I did this as a study a while ago, and when I started working on a water themed album I used it as a temp cover. I was going to replace it, but it stuck with the project so I asked Aric if he would be ok with me using my rip-off painting, and he said yes. :)
