Impeccabile cerimonia, canti bellissimi ma quanta severità nei gesti e negli atteggiamenti, nessuna gioia traspare dai volti di ciascuno, nessun sorriso, solo un accenno di commozione in una suora in un solo momento.
Joy is inside their hearts. During this very holy ceremony, its not the place and time to smile and laugh. It's like in Holy Mass, we do not, smile and laugh. Everything, has its place..and an order..
how wonderful! With the world becoming worse and worse, the world needs more vocations; more people dedicated to prayer and the Lord. Please, if anyone watching this has even a hint that God may be calling them to a vocation, PLEASE investigate your heart. PLEASE keep praying until you get a definite yes or no. I say this because 25 years ago, I felt a distinct call. I ignored it because of my mother. She absolutely had no tolerance for someone that God had given talent and intelligence to, throwing their life away. (her words). I have regretted it since. Yes, I got married and am still married, but it was not the right path. I have an atheist son who doesn't speak to me, and now that I have an incurable degenerative illness, instead of being in a convent, offering up my suffering for others, I have to deal with facing every day knowing that I am a constant burden and not wanted here. I still have a life of poverty, chastity and obedience, but without the love of sisters in my convent; just lying in a room alone day after day trying to make my needs as few as possible, and not anger or frustrate those forced to care for me; but no love except God's. Please examine your hearts ! and don't ever ignore God's call.
I'm in the same situation. I think there are convents in the world that take older nuns. I know it's harder for people with health issues. I think Russia is one of them.
Dear Lady, I am so sorry to hear how you feel. You do not have to be in a convent to offer your sufferings, Jesus has placed you, where you are, it is His will. Please offer your sufferings for the conversion and holiness of your husband and son and for the whole world, you will be winning many souls for Jesus..try not to have regrets, instead, give thanks to Jesus, your life will be filled with joy. There are many Saints who were confined to their beds for years. You can read on the Internet...May the Lord Jesus bless you with inner peace..
Was Jesus’ virgin birth the “Immaculate Conception”? No. According to the New Catholic Encyclopedia, the doctrine of the Immaculate Conception “designates the belief that the Virgin Mary was free from ORIGINAL SIN from the very beginning of her life, i.e., from her conception. The rest of mankind inherits a human nature infected with sin . . . But Mary was, by a unique GRACE, preserved from ever contracting original sin.” By contrast, nowhere does the Bible teach that Mary was free from original sin. (Psalm 51:5; Romans 5:12) In fact, Mary gave evidence that she was sinful when she presented the sin-atoning sacrifice that the Mosaic Law required of mothers. (Leviticus 12:2-8; Luke 2:21-24) The New Catholic Encyclopedia states: “The Immaculate Conception is not taught explicitly in Scripture . . . [It] is a judgment that the Church has made.” How should we view Mary? Mary set a fine example of faith, obedience, humility, and deep spirituality. She is among the faithful ones whom we do well to imitate.-Hebrews 6:12. Yet, despite her unique role as the mother of Jesus, the Bible does not teach that we should worship Mary or pray to her. Jesus did not single out his mother for special honor, nor did he tell his followers to do so. In fact, outside of the Gospel accounts and a single reference in the book of Acts, Mary is not mentioned in the remaining 22 books of the so-called New Testament.-Acts 1:14. The Scriptures provide no evidence that Mary received special attention-let alone veneration-by first-century Christians. Rather, the Bible teaches Christians to worship only God.-Matthew 4:10. The Bible teaches that Jesus had a number of siblings The only acceptable way to gain access to the “Hearer of prayer” is through Jesus Christ. (Psalm 65:2) Jesus plainly taught: “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one can come to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6, JB) Mary was not invited to share this responsibility and serve as an intermediary. If Mary had been granted this unique privilege, surely Jehovah would have made it known.-Hebrews 4:14-16; 1 John 2:1, 2. The Rosary and recitation of memorized prayers originated outside of professedly Christian lands. Praying to Mary ignores what Jesus taught, that “no one can come to the Father except through [him].” Thus, the Rosary and Mary are not God’s way to approach Him in prayer. The Rosary does not contribute to such meaningful prayers. Jeannine observed that reciting “Hail Mary's” on the Rosary “became unconsciously repetitious.” Repeating the same words on the Rosary did not bring her closer to God. Said another former Catholic nun, Lydia: “I did not find anything instructive in reciting the Rosary. I would have preferred reading books on religion.” Repetitious prayers serve no useful purpose, since God has promised: “Before they call, I will answer.” (Isaiah 65:24, NAB; Matthew 6:7, 8, 32) Almighty God appreciates and answers petitions that are said with the right motive and that come from an honest and sincere heart. The Rosary does not help a person to approach God with meaningful, heartfelt prayers.-Psalm 119:145; Hebrews 10:22.

This was a beautiful ceremony. I’m fairly new to Catholicism as I was just confirmed and partaken in my first communion on Easter Vigil of this year, so don’t mind my ignorance. Why did the presiding Priest have to kiss the Bishop’s staff and ring multiple times? Also, what is being placed on the Bishop’s lap multiple times during the ceremony? Lastly, is this more of a Traditional Latin Mass type of parish?
May in God's will and guidance, hundreds and more from all over the world join in this beautiful traditional religious life. Consider opening a mission in Indonesia and other Asian countries. Be not afraid, The Holy Spirit will guide you.
Dear Sisters, are you and your order a normal part of the Roman Catholic Church? I have worked in many Catholic and Anglican church and cathedral settings and have a hard time believing you are a regular normal order within the Catholic Church. You and your order is EXACTLY what all of the Catholic and Anglican Church once was AND SHOULD STILL BE universally. I am in the beginning stages of founding and form an autonomous monastic order and what I see here is exactly what I envision for our monastery; especially that our orders ministry would be traditional conservative great sacred music - chant, polyphony, anthems, hymns and motets. I applaud you all in the greatest possible terms and you all are in my prayers! GOD BLESS YOU! Excellent music!!!!!! BTW - I see you now have pews and I hope choir stalls.
