  • On 2nd of March 2024 we got up very early to travel into London to see Sir Nigel Gresley hauling a mainline steam tour out of King's Cross Station.
We had a very exciting time and really enhjoyed the sight and sound of a large powerful and beautiful steam locomotive operating out of its original London terminus.
We were also very excited to meet Francis Borgeois. Simon and Dad both enjoy his videos very much, so it was a treat to chat to him briefly and get a selfie with him. Thanks Francis for being so approachable. It made Simon's day!
We hope you enjoy our video.

Spectacular video Simon, 🤩. It's nice to see an LNER engine at Kings Cross for once, but what's even more special is the A4 Pacific which carries the name of Sir Nigel Gresley one of the greats in railway engineering. Also, great commentary.
When you met up with Francis Bourgeois, I reckon that you are one lucky duck to have the opportunity to see someone who is well known in the railway community.
I'm going to a model railway exhibition with my friend on Sunday at the Sandown racecourse. One of the layouts I hope to see is a replica of the Rev W Awdry's Farquhar branch line. I can't wait for that one.
Take care Simon, keep your steam up.
