Yeah I don't think so, I mean I haven't paid a lot of attention for the past few years I'm sorry to say, but I know that he is very, very underground. Besides he probably makes most of his money from doing live shows because when I still ran this channel all of his stuff was free.

You are allowed to copy samples from any media, it's fair use. Even if you monetarize them, it's still legal as long as you don't clone entire sections of another piece of art.
Or maybe he slightly morphs them from the original to keep the copyright strikes at bay...
You are allowed to copy segments, morph them slightly and you're even safer. You can't however copy whole melodies/film parts. Just a quote is fine and all you will need anyway. I actually recently wrote an essay on this haha.
