Great video of an amazing effort. I am in awe, I wouldn't even attempt a route like that. The mileage and time on screen was a nice touch too. BTW, I ordered your tent on Massdrop, It looks like it will be awesome, I can't wait to get it.
In my late twenties and early thirties, I hiked, hunted, and camped the northern Sierras. Over 50 years later, I canoe and camp. Coupla store bought knees later now. Courtesy of Half Vast Flying
Did you mean to post this on the X-Mid video? Probably the best value out there on trekking poles right now are the Fizan poles by Massdrop: www.massdrop.com/buy/massdrop-fizan-compact Those are $60 for a decent set. I reviewed them on the my blog. They're not the best poles but really good for the price: intocascadia.com/2017/10/14/review-massdrop-x-fizan-compact-poles/ Another budget option is grabbing some carbon poles off Amazon. There's tons of cheap poles on there which aren't particularly great but they're light and cheap. It's just a bit of a dice roll because you don't really know what you're getting. My favourite poles are the Locus Gear CP3 poles, which are actually just re-branded by Locus Gear and available on other sites (aliexpress, amazon) under the MBC name. You can probably find them for less money branded as MBC, but you need to do your research because they make them in different thicknesses and materials so it would be easy to buy a much heavier set.
“That’ll go”
Man what a bad ass. Dan you are wild.
I'm speechless. What an achievement. Thankyou so much.
Fantastic.. and you stay so calm. Some good Zen going on there!
Awesome job Dan. Some pretty dicey sections, way to work!

What a great adventure

Awesome video! What raft did you use?
Thanks! Mine's a 2012 Alpacka Yukon Yak.
Wicked job! Thanks for recording some good footage (and glad you didn't get swept away too)
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
This area looks so awesome..thanks for putting all the mileage on screen..well done buddy..
Thanks Brett.
Damn that looked like an intense hike! Nice work!
Thanks - yeah it was hard. The BMWO is always a butt kicker.
Man, that's one heck of a hike. 14h just to warm up on day 1, impressive ! Heading into the Bob in a few weeks but with horses 😂
incredible.
Stunning! I just read your report of this on your website and now a video to match! Nicely done!
Your boi did 21miles in one hour?!? 47-68?!?! 33km per hour on the river?
The rivers were flying! No...that was a typo.
@@durstongear haha I guessed. Awesome hike either way!
You were wearing zero shoes, right? I have a pair or two that I like.
5:30 where the heck did the raft come from?
It was pretty much the only thing in my backpack.
Awesome
Do you have any decent quality (and budget) pole recommendations for use with this tent?
