    Rob, I am about 25 pages into your new book and have been both learning and enjoy it. You need a set of forms that go with the book so people can have a starting place to just fill in their data... An Excel workbook with separate pages for a user to fill out would be great. I'm also in the midst of qualifying my SaaS model to make sure people will pay for it's services for designing a Public Safety Solution before I build it. Lots to understand before my MVP and the early marketing is completed.

    #3 is Calendly. You can set multiple meeting types that have different lengths.

      It really depends on what you are trying to build. We’ve used Bubble, Softr, and AirTable for our internal apps.

    isn't the second idea exactly what dynamnics field service is for? and the license is 70$/per user a month?

    • @MicroConf
      @MicroConf  8 місяців тому

      I don’t have experience with Dynamic Field Service, but if the license is in fact $70/mo, this sounds like this could be a good opportunity. You could look at reviews and places where people are looking for help with that service, to see if there’s something that you could iterate on to make it faster/better/easier to use.

      We don’t have the direct contact info for the folks who suggested these ideas. I would recommend reaching out to a bunch of luthiers to see if they are having the same issue.

    As software engineer who graduated in civil engineering before teaching myself coding and eventually landed my first job at a F500 where I have been working as full stack developer for the past 1.5 years.
    I think having a domain knowledge in construction and also had practical experience managing inventory on the construction site.
    I think I could figure out how to build a four Sass related to construction and warehouse.
    I would love how to know how to go about communicate with firms and warehouse before building the actual software.
    I want to understand the issue.
    The system will generate sticker with barecode that will be placed manually on each items on warehouse.
    Based on the order placed on the system , after scanning each items on the warehouse , the system should tell us if the the request was fulfilled or also if we are missing something or overtook something.
    I am not sure if I truly understand the problem or not.
    Thanks for providing such great value.

      I'm also graduated from civil engineer and I know you are talking about, I also switched my career a few years ago, but in Colombia, the construction companies are not prioritizing that warehouse management, happy to help if you want to work in the idea.

    Let's face it, the market is saturated with SAAS. Even if you build a solution, within 2-3 months there will be 20 competitors. But even if you survive, cloud costs, legal costs etc will make it almost impossible to make a profit.

    • @dimasmola
      @dimasmola 8 місяців тому +17

      True. The question in 2023 is not 'what to build' but rather 'how to sell it on scale'.

      what should the optimum route or strategy to prevent all these future issues?

    • @PracticalAI_
      @PracticalAI_ 8 місяців тому

      @@dishankshah5080 the barriers to entry are now so low that even with no-code tools it is possible to create 99% of startups. the big problem is that no one is innovating anymore, the focus on profit and fast revenue has destroyed the market. Frankly, I think we need to start looking elsewhere.

    • @dimasmola

      @@PracticalAI_ I think we can still work with it. The most defensible strategy IMO is to build an audience & trust before the launch. That can be done through sharing for free content others take money for. In fact, many UA-cam channels do exactly that.
