Thanks for the advice. My limit was $1500 and found a 77 s90D open box for $1510 at Best Buy. Missing the remote and part of the stand but the main display is immaculate and everything works. Only had to pay $80 for the missing parts. Will definitely sub to get some of your optimization settings. Figured it’s worth going $100 over for 77 that model.
Did they fix the 90 since that update? I’d love to get one and was fully ready to do it but then I saw something about a forced update that messed with the color and what not. Maybe I’m wrong? Is it still nerfed?
Is the S90D worth it over the TCL QM8 if you get stuck with the recent degrading firmware updates? Is the S90D still a much better TV? They are about $200 different in my region.
Thanks for your ideas on 2025 models. It is tempting to go for a TV now with the big savings on the old models. I will be pissed if TCL doesn't come thru with much improved technology Qustion prices being equal do you have a preference between Amazon or Wal Mart online order?
I’m curious to see what they’ll do but not optimistic. their prices are outrageous and they use outdated components, charging a premium for 120Hz when everyone else has 144Hz or 165Hz, and having overly aggressive auto-dimming that you can’t turn off.
Totally agree on skipping the 7 series. I bought the QM7 and it's a great TV and all but it has some noticeable Blooming in the dark scenes. I bought a LG C4 I was gonna return for a QM8 but Amazon gave me like $700 back to keep it instead of sending it back so it was a no brainer. We actually got to keep the QM7 for free as well because Walmart Didn't come to pick it up on time. So I have two amazing TVs i got at steep discounts. I just wish I could go the same with a new Graphics Card. Lol.
No, it's the worst of both worlds: 1. uses LGs inferior non-MLA WOLED panel, 2. uses samsungs inferior processing. Get s90D instead (check your region uses QDOLED panel for the size you want, different countries get different panels at different sizes)

They will. QM6K is already impressive.
Do you have recommended Bravia 8 settings?
Bro, did you get remarried? If so, congratulations, and i wish you all the best.
I think I'll be waiting to see what Sony do. Ideally, they'll bring a worthy to the A95L.
