- Eidolon is hands down the scariest darkride ever made in Planet Coaster history! Over 7 months in the making from our legend builder Pixelated, this ride is finally ready for the public to see! I am in awe. This didn't even look or sound like a coaster game. The audio was amazing and the visuals were stunning considering the limited tools available. Insane work!

It really encourages you to be creative in whatever way you see fit! I've been building and perfecting coasters ever since I was really young and I love that this game has a great system for building just about anything you can imagine.
It didn’t even feel like planet coaster but it’s own game
That's why Planet Coaster can help people with creativity make big money without going to universities and applying for a professional job. They have unlimited time to design the ride and when completed, just submit to social media platforms for people to enjoy and gain income from large viewership. Theme park companies might be interested in their creations and pay the creator when the company is interested in building the physical version of the ride.
Absolutely amazing! I hope some devs are gonna see this and be like "holy s*** , this is possible with our game?"
In real life this would be a heart attack coaster!!! So many people would die on that ride! But it's so so awesome

So I'm a serious horror fan and I feel that truly scary stuff doesn't just come from having an eye for horror, but having an ear for it as well. The audio editing of this is incredible. It really can't be overstated. And I can't even express how I feel about the visuals, and the story, and the jump scares. I'm speechless. This is crazy. This is genius.

Damn Pixelated!! Your best work I would say. Holy crap! The part where you see the picture, and then go into it, mindblowing! Totally worth the 7 months of waiting. Everything is so organized, and the ambience and triggerwork. My god. Legend!

And planet coaster gets taken to the next level again. Most immersive ride I've seen in the game. Great voice acting!
In case anyone is interested, the one painting he recreated is from a Polish painter named zdzisław beksiński. He is my favorite artist. He had a very hard life and had seen most of his family murdered. His painting have no names, just a number. The painting are from his nightmares that he has but with no explanation, so it allows you as the viewer to try to understand the depths of his soul through your interpretation. If anyone reads this I highly recommend going to check a few of his works.

His art had nothing to do with anyone being murdered. His wife died, and then his son committed suicide. Both were way later in his career. He began making art in the 60s, his wife and son died in the late 90s. He's just a really good abstract surrealistic artist. No need to create a weird back story for his art. He himself never wanted these detailed assumptions of his art. Just take it for what it is and enjoy.
I love this in-depth dive into how each of the effects were done. It's such a simple thing, but that little *pop* (I think it's done with a brief burst of black flame) is an incredibly cool effect, probably my favorite of the lot. (Or was it a black plasma burst?) The doors with the stars behind them... ugh, I figured that was how you did that, but sooooo many dooooors! You have the patience of a deity, Pixelated. And the silhouette with the fireworks behind it, really cool idea.

Right, that's the rubble/rock impact effect from the adventure dlc. Not quite sure what the exact name is.

I once had my ride stop in a haunted house, the lights didnt go on and it was creepy as hell. Thank god it was only for like 20 seconds
This is a cool coaster, and most assuredly a scary one! It reminds me a lot of Revenge of the Mummy at the Universal Studios parks, but not mummy-themed.

Truly a masterpiece of spooky and complicated art. Not scary, unless it was ridden in VR, but still awesome nonetheless. The technical achievements done in it are amazing. The only thing that needs a change is the brightness on that one painting you and Jonny talked about. I couldn't even tell what the details were for it, so trying to compare the art to the huge built set behind it was impossible. Chant did a perfect voice for the ride. Reminded me a lot of the voice actress that did the dialog in the great "Nightmare House 2" MOD for Half-Life 2.
i wouldnt call it scary, but it was genius utilization of horror techniques. threatening a jumpscare and building a reputation of unpredictability throughout the ride. i'd say it's half spooky and half trippy. all i know is that i love it. the most genius part is where he throws you off by plummeting down when you thought the track was going out because of the lighting
I love the sudden inclusion of thrill ride elements! It would be cool to see something like that in real life. I know the pre-ride warning signs and the car safety set-up would give away the twist (as they would have to for safety purposes), but it would still be a really unique ride experience.
I honestly jumped a bit during the ride. The fact you can tell the difference between the spirit and the official ride was cool, but then even the official part was scary enough to cause me to jolt a few times.
I'm impressed to know this was a continuous coaster without editing to make it seamless. So impressive!!! 😁

i love how he combined the 9th dimension entering with the room cross at high speed with the cross track jumpscare that really caught me off guard

OMG! The atmosphere and the buildings/rooms and the pictures are amazing! And how many triggered events u said there are?! That's just mind-blowing! Loved the black smoke effect going from one picture to another in that twisting movement. (btw, i did understood that picture recreation with all the skeletons when u are pulled inside the frame.)

Flipping the car to reveal a different hotel in the same instance isn't just clever, that's genius. This is so incredible it's almost ineffable.
I thought this was gonna be some ride with dull and cheap jumpscares, but this genuinly freaked me out!

This is brilliant between the ride time and the build. This is on the lines of Ranger's "Damnation" dark ride and Kombat's currently satanic themed dark ride, which you should have in your submission pile. Fantastic effects and timing with triggers. Fun ride. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Hey Jonny, I noticed that there are flashing lights in this video, and I was wondering if you could include some sort of warning that it could be seizure inducing for those that suffer from epilepsy or etc.! Just a quick thought that might help others in the future.

EsbenJJ actually it is already, who would pay for a red firework battery indoors? Pixelated did it using in game resources such as terrain formation I guess, a lot of doors, etc. In real life they would do the same but with real resources such as projection. Doing a interesting realistic ride in PC is really hard because we don't have such resources, so we need to use crazy stuff. Maybe using the same effects in a small scale would work but since it is a game without projections and advanced features, it might look like a regular ride. Sorry for the big reply, just wondering lol

Out of all the videos I've watched on your channel so far I think this is my absolute favorite aside from Alice in Wonderland. This shit is freaking legit. Definitely caught me off guard it's so good. I've already subscribed to this channel but I think I'm definitely going to be subscribing to Pixelated. I watched your review on some of the other ones and my other favorite of his is the dream sequence.

A ride that is 5 minutes and goes into such awesome detail.
Is it possible that a ride could move people into the next level of the park, so that each new ride moves passengers to the next levels be it aquatic, scary, funny, ect. With a water park intertwined.

O. M. G. What did I just experience? Oh yeah!! The best Dark Ride I've seen and been apart of. Oh hell yeah!!! You couldn't get me off this ride if this was actually existed. It hit every mark and this is not just a Haunted House ride, it is the next level up when I say Horror Mansion ride. Best part was that small to large acordian style hall way blew me away.

This is extraordinary. I’ve never seen such detail and hard work be put into anything quite like this. This was trippy, VERY spooky, and completely mindblowing. I have no idea how you did most of the stuff in this. That collapsing door effect made me go cross-eyed and the scary things you did with this was so interesting. To the creator, what a fabulous job!

That was probably one of the best horror themed dark rides I’ve seen on this game. Most people time their jump scares far too close together and it makes it so there’s really nothing to be scared of. But the creator of this ride had a beautiful blend of tension, buildup and horror that made this ride a work of art! I loved it
