The Boundless Voyage alcohol burner does not need a pot stand to use, you can just put your pot on top when its alight that why it has 2 sets of holes the upper set go out when a pot is on it and they allow air in to feed the row of holes below and also this slows the burn rate down and it should burn longer. Give it a try.
Lol clearly great minds think a like. I did an indoor test with titanium one and it failed better second time around on burn time. But yeah the fact you do not have a cap or top to be able to put it out is a pain but I will take it out next camp I do and try it out in the field, so to speak. Hi, thank you for your comment, yes it is possible, it's the stand provided with the stove, but I did carry out a second test indoors and it worked fine, I will be taking it with me on my next camp which hopefully will be this Friday and give it a try out on a camp and see how it performs. Again Mate I have the same burner, and it is ok , but you can’t seal the lid like you can with the trangia. With a wind shield it is ok.

I’m pretty sure it’s the pot stand you’re using. The pot is too close to the flame.
