It also depends on what's your favourable element in your personal destiny chart as well.

Follow the Feng Shui practitioner's advice. In this case, according to your destiny chart, you follow her advice and also what works best for you. For example, if your lucky element is water, you might tend to wear the same recommended colors, but in the most darkest tones, whereas if your lucky element is fire, enjoy the same colors in neons and high saturation warm colors. If your Bazi Chart however has too much of an element, a reading done by an expert can help balance out the elements. There are some exceptions with pastels and neutrals, such as peach, gray, and tan, which would look brown or black if darker in application and would represent another element entirely. Also take note of traditional color psychology rules, undertones, applications in a social setting, and such, for maximum effect. You can play with the dark blues and blacks to your benefit, making note that perhaps, the most powerful chi you will obtain pertains to either the wood or the water element and not necessarily the most favorable or might not suit your fashion or career/social goals, unless, you combine colors to your gain.
