Love Leatherize, as a standalone fragrance, I don't use any primers or enhancements but it's good to know about them. Thanks for the video Sebastian!!!
That Monoscent G is amazing. Thanks to you when you first reviewed them. I bought it and have loved wearing it. I'm on my second bottle too and I love how cozy it is for me. Thanks Sebastian, a great video once again.
The one i love is Pierre Guillaume Le Musc ET Le Peau , but when i really want to extend the life of a perfume i do a small decant and reapply , BTW : your videos are great but they cost me money 🙂
Thanks, Sebastian! I'm a fan of all your content but really interested in these layering videos. It's something I love to do and you have given me a lot of great ideas. Thanks again! 👃🥰
I still have my bottle of canvas on concrete, its been about 6-8 years now. I rarely use it, but it does come in handy when I'm spraying something light like any of the 4711 flankers or any eau de colognes.
I wear molecule 02 with baccarat rouge 540 edp. It gives more depth and changes performance. Sometimes I do also with Not a perfume superdose. Even more potent baccarat rouge 540 edp. Love ambroxan along with my gourmands.
Molecule 04 for me to layer with some of my favorite vanillas. They are such a great combo I can't get enough of Molecule 04 and my favorite vanilla scents.
I have not formally heard of them until now, but I was getting a strong indication they exist. First time was another tuner suggesting molecule because it can enhance fragrances , then seeing lacosta" boost" , then someone mixing their fragrances with cold cream as a lengthening tool... So I was starting to correlate there are enhancers.
You don’t even need to use IDKW as a primer. I find if I put it on later in the day it really melds with the dry down brings the fragrance back to life. IDKW should be in every collection.
Thanks for making this video Sebastian it's really nice having a verbal breakdown of all the Essentic Molecule fragrances and some ideas for combos. I love Wearing Jovoy Psychedelique or Profumo Roma patchouli with Molecule 01 + Patchouli. Cheers Brutha😎
A fellow fragrance loving colleague and friend gifted me a part used molecule 01, I’ll have a crack at layering with a spritz of it as per your advice 😄
Please make a mango scent ranking: I’m curious about you view on: God of Fire, mango kiss - Sollei de Jeddah, Mango Skin , Lataffa Ajayeb Portrait , Mango Manga- these are once I know. I’m sure you can come up with 10 more 😄 Would love to hear your thoughts. Loved the cherry video, but I think we”re heading into mango vibes with the warmer weather 😁🙏
Really enjoyed this video. I recently started to layer fragrances, because of that I really want to check out Escentric Molecules. What I love to do now is layer 2 strong fragrances, one on skin, one on clothes or have 2 fragrances with similar notes, use one as a base and put on the other after it dried!
I'm a fan of Molecule 001 and been wearing it for years. When I first tried it I couldn't smell it but boy it pretty potent now. I love to wear it on it's own and also to layer it with my weak scents like At The Barbers by Replica. I love At The Barbers but man it doesn't last and I can make it a bit more potent with Molecule 001. And it also makes it a lot more woody.
Love these kinds of videos. Thanks Sebastian. Been meaning to try Excentric Molecules for sometime and I know you are a fan of them so that goes on my list of to sample fragrances.
On my skin, the molecule options fail to extend the life of fleeting fragrances. However they can however give a bit more lift to rich fragrances that tend to sit close to the skin.
I love using these affordable scents by SolieNotes like Tonka, Musc, or Magnolia to enhance or boost other fragrances. And I think some of the fresh scents from Guierlain are nice but not that complex so they layer very well with other fragrances. When an Oud is too animalic I love layering a little tonka to cut the sweatiness and it’s perfect.
I have a hard time making anything last or project, except a recent $10 body mist l purchased 🤔 Think l run cold, not too sure adding a booster would change anything? I should try the old Vaseline trick.
Oh bummer I think if your body runs cold then the booster might not work but it could still make it last longer. Try it with some budget if you can find something! :)
Great Video Sebastian. I was at a Serge Lutens event a couple of days ago and they seem to have a gel that can be applied to the skin, and apply the fragrance over it to enhance the life of the fragrance
@@oscardog6719 they specifically mentioned that you apply the gel and wait for it to be absorbed by the skin before applying the fragrance. I wanted more details but unfortunately they had another session starting and I had to leave

What an awesome video, thank you Sebastian! Question: I recently purchased a bottle of Loumari’s Porthole (thanks for the discount code!). What do you think would be the best primer/extender/enhancer for that?
I had been trying to finish my molecule 1 but this has opened up a whole new avenue for me to venture down. Thanks for this upload. Btw why does the bottle never come with a top?
Molecule 01 with Dunhill's Century is one great layering combo. Imho it makes the scent better than either one alone (I love both of them on their own,) and lasts a bit longer.
@@ThePerfumeGuyNotice I mean Dunhill Century, not Dunhill Icon. I also like Dunhill Icon, but the layering works imho particularly well is with Century

@ThePerfumeGuy, what would you recommend for Dior Homme Cologne and Creed Viking Cologne? Love both of them but longevity and performance is not its best side Thank you
I'm trying to think. I used to love Givenchy Cologne but got discontinued. It kind of reminded me of DHC but lasted longer. I can't think of anything but here's a link to a video of freshies that last a long time: ua-cam.com/video/FxaEHtOJ93c/v-deo.html

They might clash but try it. It will most likely sweeten it up as Vanagloria is not as sweet. Might work actually! You will have to find the right balance to make the combo smell great. :)
Solinotes has a ton of simplistic fragrances that are perfect for priming, boosting or enhancing fragrances on the budget. You can also try Fine'ry I'm A Musk for a clean musk with some of your fragrances.
@@ThePerfumeGuy Hey, thanks for your reply and the tips! I've come across something by the dupe company Oakcha (?) that dupes JHAG just the ambroxan. I have my eye on that, too. Always watch your videos, thanks again.
i own Symphonium and Pikovaya Dama from Xerjoff, i think they pretty weak. Can you please help me to pick one of these boosters Sir ? Thank you very much.
See what happens with Molecule 01 or IDKW. Maybe try Molecule 01 + Mandarin with the Symphonium it would boost up the orange touch in it as well. You can also try it with Molecule 02. But it's disappointing that both of those Xerjoff are weak on you? They are quite long lasting on me. You can also layer something chocolatey with the symphonium and also try to layer something aldehydic with the PVD. But make sure they are not complex to take over in smell.
@@ThePerfumeGuy im not sure if they both are weak on me or maybe i just got nose blind. On Parfumo everybody voted them up to 9,10 point for longevity 😅😅 my friend said they are so strong when i wore them. Maybe i just got nose blind
Come on Sebastian. Anyone with any knowledge of perfume, including your perfumer friends will tell you those are essentially myths and marketing scams. These things really just add whatever they smell like to what you've already applied. They don't change the chemical makeup of other perfumes or anything like it. This is just content for the content farm.

@@ThePerfumeGuy They don't even do that and I think you would never ask the perfumers you have on this channel that question because you know the answer you would get. To change the performance in any noticeable way would require a change in the chemical structure of the aroma chemical. Just annoying to see bad information propogated here. Most people that smell these things are just smelling the scent of iso E super or whatever it is. They're layering tools and nothing else.
LOL. You're too funny. Are you also going to say the same thing if I say 2 sprays doesn't last 10 sprays it lasts. Isn't that the same thing? LOL! Come on it's not chemistry, we're not speaking about changing the chemical structure of anything by applying more sprays.
