Well done!👏👏👏 I would love for you do do a video of each of your palettes, maybe by swatching, maybe by painting a card, small painting..or one you have already done using that palette…OR…a separate video on how each works on a particular paper (your favorite paper?)…just brainstorming…🤪
Thank you!! Love all the ideas! I actually had a video when I did a small painting, the same one, with all the various sets I had but then that sketchbook ran out of paper so I stopped doing them so the newer sets didn’t get that same comparison 😂
Thank you for sharing I love these kinds of videos, it's satisfying to see putting a palette together and I often find storage solutions to my paint through these videos 🥰 and I would Love to see all of your watercolors 😍
Dear Ela, Just seeing your video now... Here is a little tip; you can squeeze the sides of the tube and the paint will go back in! Just wait for it to stop first. It is a bugger when they pour out and are in the lid. Nice collection of Daniel Smith. Have you painted with them? How do you use your iridescent colours? My favourite is Serpentine Genuine, with lots of water it has these little beige spots... I have two red palettes like this too, only the new one only has the plastic part for the half pans instead of a metal one. Hi Eliza, thank you for the comment! And yes, I love Daniel smith paint, one of my favorite brands for sure. The iridescent colors are new to me and I kind of got them by accident. But I was planning to use them on black paper and to add a little sparkle to regular painting as well. Thank you for stopping by 😊
I'm considering creating a pallette just for when I want to use layering. Aside from super staining colors, like phthalos, do you have ideas on how to strategies a layering pallette?
I think some watercolor brands are better at layering in general. Like kuretake isn’t very good at it, it lifts a lot. And sennelier is known for being very good at layering. Aside from that, you’d have to try the specific color from the paint you have just to see how each one does. But most quality artist grade watercolors are made specifically for layering.
@@Ifscoach I think that still depends on the color/pigment and the brand. Some granulating colors even rub off on your fingers when they dry whereas others behave the same as normal watercolors. Again, probably something you just have to experiment with each individual color you have to see how it behaves. And the same colors might behave differently from different brands. So you just have to play enough with your palette to get to know it well
It’s currently unavailable unfortunately but here is all the info and maybe there’s something similar you could find? Watercolor Paint Saver Palette, Airtight Portable Folding Paint Tray (16 Slots) a.co/d/iiljUjG
I can always tell a UA-camr from a real painter. UA-camrs don't fill their pans. They'll leave a half pan of paint in a tube just in case they can make another video later on and They don't realize there is an invention called pliers. By time those pans dry down you'll not have much paint at all in there and the color will be hard to get.
It’s called filling pans in layers. And how does not filling pans all the way have anything to do with making a video later? Clearly you know nothing about me or my channel but feel free to go through life making whatever assumptions you want. You know what making assumptions makes you.
Well done!👏👏👏

Beautiful palette 😻😻😻 thank you for sharing with us. Bless you!
Also, get a paint/toothpaste squeezer. Its a blessing. Helps get out paint that is impossible to pour out
Thank you for watching! 💗
I’ve been meaning to get one! But the piemontite was definitely not coming out, it was dried completely solid
@@ElaTell you’re welcome! ❤️ I would love to see more of your watercolor collection 😊
@@ElaTell oh yeah the primateks do dry up and gets harder to get out. That’s a downside of them otherwise they are too gorgeous to not have them
this palette is gorgeous!! do you have a link for the palette you used?
Thank you! It’s this one but it’s not being sold anymore but maybe you can find something similar: a.co/d/jiN7rAC

Is it fair to say that staining and granularity are on the same linear comparison? Like granulation and lifting are correlated?
