About this Workshop
This workshop aims at equipping those who are dealing with their own afflictions or supporting others & goes beyond our previous workshops with a particular focus on unlocking benefits of the many aayaat and ahaadeeth through a detailed study of their benefits. At the end of the program attendees will in sha’ Allah benefit with the following:
1.Gain a proper understanding of the world of the unseen, direct from the sources, and remove the most common misconceptions.
2.Build a strong treatment programme based on texts of the Qur’an and the Sunnah.
3.Get better results from ruqyah and overcome obstacles quickly.

The story of Prophet Zakariyyah (as) who was gifted a child despite his wife's elderly age.
Surah Maryam (in Arabic text: مريم) is the 19th chapter of the Qur'an.
“Mary” referring to the mother of Jesus ('isa) عليه السلام.
We are reminded of the oneness of Allah (swt) in Surah Maryam.
And His ability to do the impossible, from the birth of Isa (as)
to a mother who had been touched by no man.
revealed by Allah: Surah Maryam:
To prove her dignity and nobleness among those who were cruel to her.
also discusses life after death, rewards of being kind to humanity,
and explains the lifestyles of some important Prophets.
Surah's good for pregnancy
4 Quls [Surah Ikhlas (112), An-Nas (114), Falaq (113), and Kafiroon (109)] - for Allah's protection.
Qur'an Surah: Al-Kafirun (1:6)
(109:1): Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “O you disbelievers!
(109:2): I do not worship what you worship,
(109:3): nor do you worship what I worship.
(109:4): I will never worship what you worship,
(109:5): nor will you ever worship what I worship.
(109:6): You have your way, and I have my Way.”

Qur'an Surah Maryam (as)
(19:16): And mention in the Book ˹O Prophet, the story of˺ Mary
when she withdrew from her family to a place in the east,
(19:17): screening herself off from them. Then We sent to her Our angel,
˹Gabriel,˺ appearing before her as a man, perfectly formed.
(19:18): She appealed, “I truly seek refuge in the Most Compassionate from you!
˹So leave me alone˺ if you are God-fearing.”
(19:19): He responded, “I am only a messenger from your Lord, ˹sent˺
to bless you with a pure son.”
(19:20): She wondered, “How can I have a son when no man has ever touched me,
nor am I unchaste?”
(19:21): He replied, “So will it be! Your Lord says, ‘It is easy for Me.
And so will We make him a sign for humanity and a mercy from Us.
’ It is a matter ˹already˺ decreed.”
(19:22): So she conceived him and withdrew with him to a remote place.
(19:23): Then the pains of labour drove her to the trunk of a palm tree.
She cried, “Alas! I wish I had died before this, and was a thing long forgotten!”
(19:24): So a voice reassured her from below her,
“Do not grieve! Your Lord has provided a stream at your feet.
(19:25): And shake the trunk of this palm tree towards you, it will drop fresh, ripe dates upon you.
(19:26): So eat and drink, and put your heart at ease.
But if you see any of the people, say, ‘I have vowed silence to the Most Compassionate,
so I am not talking to anyone today.’”
Surah Maryam (as) called after the Virgin Mary
Describes the blessings bestowed on the prophets (pbuh):
As well as the punishment for the unfaithful in response to a prayer by Zechariah (as) for an heir.
To continue his service to God as a preacher in the Jerusalem temple after his death.

Maryam (as): the only woman with a chapter of the Quran named after her.
The mother of Jesus (as).
Maryam (as): perfected her faith and demonstrated how to have Tawakkul in Allah (swt).
Excellence in devotion and worship in the most difficult times.
Qur'an Surah Maryam (as)
(19:1): Kãf-Ha-Ya-’Aĩn- Ṣãd.
(19:2): ˹This is˺ a reminder of your Lord’s mercy to His servant Zachariah,
(19:3): when he cried out to his Lord privately,
(19:4): saying, “My Lord! Surely my bones have become brittle,
and grey hair has spread across my head, but I have never been disappointed in my prayer to You, my Lord!
(19:5): And I am concerned about ˹the faith of˺ my relatives after me, since my wife is barren.
So grant me, by Your grace, an heir,
(19:6): who will inherit ˹prophethood˺ from me and the family of Jacob, and make him,
O Lord, pleasing ˹to You˺!”
(19:7): ˹The angels announced,˺ “O Zachariah! Indeed, We give you the good news of
˹the birth of˺ a son, whose name will be John-a name
We have not given to anyone before.”
(19:8): He wondered, “My Lord! How can I have a son when my wife is barren,
and I have become extremely old?”
(19:9): An angel replied, “So will it be! Your Lord says, ‘It is easy for Me,
just as I created you before, when you were nothing!’”
(19:10): Zachariah said, “My Lord! Grant me a sign.” He responded,
“Your sign is that you will not ˹be able to˺ speak to people for three nights,
despite being healthy.”
Allah *swt narrates : the story of Prophet Zakariyya (as)
Surah Maryam (as) Divine assistance is deployed to the Prophets (pbuh) themselves.
In this story we learn that his miracle was initiated by a du'a, similar to how the story of Maryam (as),
was initiated by the duʿa' of her mother.
Recitation of Surah Maryam (as)
It was revealed before the migration to Habash.
Authentic traditions that Hadrat Ja'afar recited vv. 1-40 of this Surah,
in the court of Negus when he called the migrants to his court.
