Bro i come from a small town.my house is 60 kms away from kollata metropolitan(where there is bigwing outlet) instead normal honda and RE showrooms are within 2km from my house..if honda brings in HMSI dealers i will definitely have that in my wishlist

I'm staying away from RE because of how raw it is. No refinement, no reliability, no new technology. RE sells because of it's brand name. But it doesn't appeal to someone like me who prefers quality regardless of brand image.
I wish RE put some more affort in quality after this competition. Customer have been too royal to to their loose nuts and vibration machines for years now. Why cant retro look have quality fit and finish and feel. That what honda might be looking at

Normal honda bikes nowadays come with Silent Start also, my friend bought Honda Shine last month, bs6 model, it comes with that Silent Start tech, infact all bs6 models are coming with that tech, really impressive.

Nice review. Definitely on paper Honda beats RE classic 350. But what I feel is that RE is more of a passion and a cult for many people. Only selling the bike through bigwings will never be a success as it will never reach to the masses. Personally I like the design of RE which looks more intimidating than Honda CB350 and nothing can be as beautiful as Classic chrome 350.
Design wise RE still looks better but Honda come up with a triumph like design which is pretty interesting, seat height is manageable as the width seems to be narrower and practical with some handy features.
This bike will surely pull 150 CC bikers. Superb one.... Royal enfield is a non reliable bike and not well engineered products even at this stage.... i m 13 years owner of Electra 5s 2007 with 150000kms run.... no old world charm boss... you have to own then to comment.
RE is for Cult followers.....Honda is more reliable, better fuel economy and ride comfort....Dual channel ABS , traction control is good to have in Base model....Let the ride review come...then we can say Which one is good to buy...My take is Honda as of now

Wonderfully explained. Kudos to you for covering all aspects so nicely. RE is a very good product with tremendous fan following, no doubts about that. However, they had the advantage of being the only player in the fray. Hence, despite famous shortcomings like vibrations, paint quality, not so satisfactory service support and absence of so many modern day features, they had complete domination in the market. Now with launch of Highness, RE for the first time have some serious competition. On paper, definitely Honda looks better. Plus, you have so many REs on road that there is hardly any exclusivity for the rider which is assured with Honda for atleast next few years. Considering the other Honda products, one thing can be sure and that is reliability, quality and peace of mind. Some people have written off the Honda even before it being ridden. I think we must wait for real world reviews. The best thing to have happened is introduction of some competition here which will help both companies and others to improve their product lineup. It's customers like us who stand to gain. Once again thanks for a beautiful coverage and am waiting for the ride review. Till then holding on to the booking part.
I’m regretting buying a RE classic 500. It’s pain to see the after sales service, the mechanics, the noise from engine, clutch and gear slotting issue. RE can not fix it and neither any other mechanic can. I strongly recommend to go for Jawa or Honda. Don’t listen to reviewers who do not own a RE and are advising to buy one. Once you buy RE, you’ll know the mechanics names by default, I bet you on that!!! The service center and outside mechanics will rip you off with heavy bills!
Much much smoother engine, lighter weight, slipper clutch, loaded with tech, decent retro looks, more torque @ lower RPM, better ground clearance & more practical for city riding. Something I was looking for in this segment for years now. Honda CB350 truly is highness for me. Enfield on the other hand (to me) isn't any royal at all. Except the looks british gave it decades ago. Honda surely is my pick and I'm definitely buying it.
Went to buy a Interceptor saw a three month old bike standing for service, rust was a major issue on the silencer, and engine cover, gear box cover the anodising was a issue. Let's wait for the Honda Bike
I am also ridding Classic 350 and still I run 92000kms very much satisfied with engine performance engine is still company sealed and mileage is still giving 40kmpl. No vibration max speed I ride on 115. 👍👍👍👍 Jai Hind
I think it’s a big mistake by honda to sell it through big wing..to compete with RE they need to think like RE to reach masses through normal honda showrooms and big network which is available in every small town in the city not by just selling and targeting limited number of people through big outlets in big cities..
Honda has really done good background studies & launched a handsome product. No doubt about Honda's service too. CB350 will definitely be smooth, having less vibrations on handle. Now Honda should quickly add matt finish colors too. my 2-3 close friends having RE 350 & Thunderbird are not happy about its quality & facing many quality issues. Hence I'll prefer to go for Honda CB350.
I am fan of RE but this bike surely effects sale of classic 350. Really good one by Honda only cons is this big wing showrooms not available in each small cities
Those who know the quality and finishing of Honda bikes will surely go for it. Not everybody is blindly in love with RE. Honda machines are much reliable in long term.
There was a time when hero honda bajaj was ruling the market for years, from last few years RE has become a motorcycle icon which once was owned by limited few. Honda or any manufacturer are not really keen to compete with RE as this brand is continously evolving with new models and engines year on year.
When i saw the Honda , i liked it , but felt its a modern take in classic , and with Enfield its a classic take on modernity.... People who like gadgety stuff will go for honda , and people who like character will go for Enfield.... personally ill go with the enfield ...because its not trying to fit in, honda is..... which is not to say honda is a bad bike.
R.E Retro(Old School Bike) & Rough Tough(Army) Looks is winner Jawa Classic looks excellent an ideal option for short height ............. Honda looks like an ordinary market bike....no eye catching...

Honda has counter balance Shaft. Definitely won't vibration would be way lesser. If looking for performance and touring, go for Himalayan 😎 and it can go off the roads as well.

@@milantrivedi3343 great brother ..just an advice while taking delivery just take.a test ride.. ride on highway by leaving both hands.. if the bike is pulling on right or left side.. just dont take that home.. my brother's bs6 classic pulls right side while my bs4 is perfect.. i found that many people are facing this problm in bs6. they will say that it will b rectified in first service.. bt they cant do it.. so better dont tk that home at any cost .
Problem with Indian companies the wont spend money in R&D and product improvement. They only keep selling existing products with little changes here and there. Although RE brought 2-3 new models few years back which did good in international market, but then went back to sleep. Tamo is doing something better in this regard currently. Hope they continue the momentum as they have to go a long way to be called world class. If indian companies dont change , Chinese will eat our lunch and breakfast with ease.
In rural India, bike with lesser electronics is generally preferable as it can be easily repaired by roadside mechanic. I mean how many would actually use the Bluetooth voice command ?

Went to buy a Interceptor saw a three month old bike standing for service, rust was a major issue on the silencer, and engine cover, gear box cover the anodising was a issue. Let's wait for the Honda Bike

I am also ridding Classic 350 and still I run 92000kms very much satisfied with engine performance engine is still company sealed and mileage is still giving 40kmpl. No vibration max speed I ride on 115.

I think it’s a big mistake by honda to sell it through big wing..to compete with RE they need to think like RE to reach masses through normal honda showrooms and big network which is available in every small town in the city not by just selling and targeting limited number of people through big outlets in big cities..

Honda has really done good background studies & launched a handsome product. No doubt about Honda's service too. CB350 will definitely be smooth, having less vibrations on handle.
Now Honda should quickly add matt finish colors too. my 2-3 close friends having RE 350 & Thunderbird are not happy about its quality & facing many quality issues. Hence I'll prefer to go for Honda CB350.
I am fan of RE but this bike surely effects sale of classic 350. Really good one by Honda only cons is this big wing showrooms not available in each small cities

There was a time when hero honda bajaj was ruling the market for years, from last few years RE has become a motorcycle icon which once was owned by limited few.
Honda or any manufacturer are not really keen to compete with RE as this brand is continously evolving with new models and engines year on year.
When i saw the Honda , i liked it , but felt its a modern take in classic , and with Enfield its a classic take on modernity.... People who like gadgety stuff will go for honda , and people who like character will go for Enfield.... personally ill go with the enfield ...because its not trying to fit in, honda is..... which is not to say honda is a bad bike.

@@milantrivedi3343 great brother ..just an advice while taking delivery just take.a test ride.. ride on highway by leaving both hands.. if the bike is pulling on right or left side.. just dont take that home.. my brother's bs6 classic pulls right side while my bs4 is perfect.. i found that many people are facing this problm in bs6. they will say that it will b rectified in first service.. bt they cant do it.. so better dont tk that home at any cost .

Problem with Indian companies the wont spend money in R&D and product improvement. They only keep selling existing products with little changes here and there. Although RE brought 2-3 new models few years back which did good in international market, but then went back to sleep. Tamo is doing something better in this regard currently. Hope they continue the momentum as they have to go a long way to be called world class. If indian companies dont change , Chinese will eat our lunch and breakfast with ease.
Only thing missing in cb350 is double silencer as comparison to it's old version cb350 siblings
In rural India, bike with lesser electronics is generally preferable as it can be easily repaired by roadside mechanic. I mean how many would actually use the Bluetooth voice command ?
In rural area bike with less fuel consumption is more preferred.. That's why Hero Bajaj is common in there. Saying you as being from a Rural Area..
