    Watching movies and shows with subtitles helps a lot. I was pausing the videos and checking the meanings of words that I wasn't familiar with. Talking to yourself in english is also very helpful. People don't believe me when I say I figured out english by myself.

    Great tips in this video!! 👌
    My journey with English:
    First: picked up a grammar book and learned by myself.
    Then went to an institute in my country to learn more.
    Then practiced at work.
    Now? I'm learning even more on social media: UA-cam, Twitter, Instagram, etc. I try to sorround myself with the language by using my cellphone and my computer in English. Also, everything I see or lookup on the internet is in English.

    I am honestly *impressed* with the discipline you applied to learning English. While I am a native speaker of English, I can still appreciate the lessons you shared in keeping with "scripts" for various television programs. Can't thank you enough for sharing this incredible insight. Continued blessings in return.

    3) Could you understand (and be understood) in the classroom?

    • @CSDojo
      @CSDojo  6 років тому +1

      To me, reading lots of stuff actually helped for this. I sort of combined it with listening to news carefully, reading the script, and repeating what's been said. That way, I started seeing patterns of how grammar works.
      It might not be the most efficient way, though. Reading about grammar directly helps too, I'm sure.
