Watching movies and shows with subtitles helps a lot. I was pausing the videos and checking the meanings of words that I wasn't familiar with. Talking to yourself in english is also very helpful. People don't believe me when I say I figured out english by myself.
my english :
40% from movies
30% from youtube
20% from mmorpg games
10% from school
Me 0% from school
me: 0% from school
5% from school and 95% from youtube
😂😂
I actually learned English for 6 years in school
I almost understand native speaker's speaking
and I can read in English but my speaking skills are terrible
of courese I can speak a little bit of English
but still hard to speak
so Im gonna start learning English especially for speaking
I hope this way work
Great tips in this video!! 👌
My journey with English:
First: picked up a grammar book and learned by myself.
Then went to an institute in my country to learn more.
Then practiced at work.
Now? I'm learning even more on social media: UA-cam, Twitter, Instagram, etc. I try to sorround myself with the language by using my cellphone and my computer in English. Also, everything I see or lookup on the internet is in English.
English is my first language. I think your spoken English is very clear; so your system works. Thanks for sharing your system.
I like that you always smiling
And the way you say Everything seems easy
I've been practicing by watching The Matrix, trilogy. And my english skill improves a lot.
But the problem, now I really believe this world is The Matrix.
it is
Yes it is!!
I am honestly *impressed* with the discipline you applied to learning English. While I am a native speaker of English, I can still appreciate the lessons you shared in keeping with "scripts" for various television programs. Can't thank you enough for sharing this incredible insight. Continued blessings in return.
Konnichiwa , this is by far the best advice for ESL .
ykさんの英語は自分が知ってる日本人で1番うまいと思います。自分も北米でcs勉強しているのでモチベーションになります。

My Dad who immigrated to the US in the '70s learned English by watching Three's Company. If there's a way, there's always a solution.
Thank you for that video !
I have three questions for you to answer for a brazilian english student:
1) Do you think that you lost your accent over the time after you have arrived in Boston?
2) How did it feel to HAVE TO speak English?
3) Could you understand (and be understood) in the classroom?
That's great that you managed to teach yourself. Good for you. I am teaching my kid how to speak French with the Harry Potter audio books. They come in many languages and they are divided by paragraphs.
I watched your video since you got 50k subs. You got 500k so fast. Congrats.

For me listening to audiobooks was such a great solution. My grades improved by about 2 (Germany 1 best to 6 worst) from 4 to 2, but i didn't repeat it i just listened.
Yup. It is good to practise in a own seperated room which i dont have.but i will try to practise more in front of everyone

What is the headset you are using?
How did you code before learning ENGLISH?
the makeshifter I don't think this is a problem, you have just to know what a code do, not to understand its meaning in English. I'm telling you that based on my experience because when I was 14 I barely knew English, even that I could coding in VB and HTML at school

Hi! YK , I wanna know what's your Chrome theme, and the clock , greetings and weather plugins.
Is it important to learn grammar first ?please anyone reply me
That is aswome
What about grammar in English speaking
How i learn grammar i do many grammatical mistakes in English speaking help me to solve this
Make a video
To me, reading lots of stuff actually helped for this. I sort of combined it with listening to news carefully, reading the script, and repeating what's been said. That way, I started seeing patterns of how grammar works.
It might not be the most efficient way, though. Reading about grammar directly helps too, I'm sure.
#CS Dojo con you make a video on resume building.

I agree with U in the first part but do not agree with movies part
'Cause movies are full of slang words and very hard to understand I think they are for very Advanced level
i think it's better to watch youtube videos
Learn Crap Quick yep. But from own experience, i reckon that for the dude whose level is middle, youtube is the best choice. But the next level is watching serials which level is one step higher that own level
