Rambley Review is a song by @recorderdude for the ending of Chapter 1 of my new Indie Horror Game, Indigo Park! It's sung by Rambley's voice actor @otterboyva and was mixed by @Jakeneutron. I am blessed to have the chance to work with these folks, Indigo Park wouldn't be the same without them. I created this lyric video and credits for the game, so it's here on my channel, but keep an eye on @recorderdude's channel for an upcoming video on Rambley Review!

Indigo Park is an immersive first-person exploration game that takes you on a thrilling journey through the eerie remnants of an abandoned amusement park. As the protagonist, you will step into the shoes of an adventurous soul eager to uncover the mysteries hidden within this once vibrant and lively attraction.
Explore a desolate world where time has stood still, and nature has reclaimed its territory. The amusement park, once filled with joyous laughter and cheerful music, now echoes with haunting silence and faded memories. Guided by an A.I. assistant*, help restore power to the destroyed amusement park while you avoid the reason it shut down.
Once one of the most renowned theme parks of the world, Indigo Park was suddenly shut down after a mysterious, horrific incident. Years later, in a search for nostalgia, you break into the park to explore the abandoned attractions. You may remember this place, but you'll need some help from a special A.I. friend*.
Previously the park's A.I.-driven* tour guide, Rambley the Raccoon will take over screens and other aspects of the park to communicate with you! Explore the park as you find collectables, secrets, and discover why the park was shut down, all while being guided by Rambley! Find items, solve puzzles, and restore power to the park as you run from the reason it shut down.
*Rambley, the AI character is a work of fiction, and is not utilizing actual "AI", rather stunning 2D animation and voice acting to communicate with the player.

I actually shed a tear by the end because it truly tugs on the heart because of the emotion shown.

Agreed,and I think he might have been abandoned by his friends and he openly admits that he’s asking that if he earned our trust?
Something I noticed:
Whenever Rambley shows more emotion and less automaton, his animation seems more smooth and the artifacting in his voice fades away.
Almost as if he over his thousands of days is just now starting to truly become sentient and human.
Agreed,and he also feels like he might be have been left behind because at the end of of the lyrics he actually calls this out until his old friends are united he would feel less left behind, which is truly heartbreaking when you consider just one minute ago,we just killed one of his best friends,Molly McCall.
And he also asked if he has earned our trust which I’m not sure I mean he hasn’t showed any towards hostility towards us,but that robotic Molly McCall message is pretty concerning sure and then he also glitched out when we passed one of the villains of his old show that skunk character When we got to it and it was completely broken down.

I haven't seen the "AI sings you a song for the credits" gimmick since Portal 2 and it took this to show me how much I missed it.

Please have Rambley stay nice and don’t make him be a traitorous twist villain. He’s so wholesome, sweet, and fleshed out enough already.

fr bruhh this is the second game ever that has caused me this hard to describe pain where i love the characters so much i wish i could "meet" them and talk to them, the first game that made me feel this way was undertale and damn its insane to feel that way again with a new game, i cant wait for the rest of the chapters bruh 😭
I think what sold me on this game was actually Rambley himself. I've found myself actually getting attached to him, similarly to Glamrock Freddy back during Security Breach, and the song genuinely sealed the emotional deal for me. I actually got sad at the end of that song, I want him to know I'll be back to visit. 😢
I feel like Rambley is gonna have a crisis as he sees all of the terrifying things the park has done
Yeah, it's very likely the mission will change from "let's reactivate the park" to "actually the park needs to be taken down for good"
I feel like the glitches rambley had at the end of the chapter as he was talking about fixing the park is gonna get progressively worse to the point where he might even try to destroy everything regardless of him being caught up in it

The best possible ending would be the player putting the rambley ai on a USB and then putting him on our phone or something

Just played through the chapter a few hours ago and I am absolutely in love with Rambley. He's just so genuine. Usually cheerful and innocent, but doesn't even try to hide his disdain for Llyod.
Also I love how the process is just called "Raccoon".
I'm Russian, I really liked the game, Rembley is very cute, a lot of things have not yet been revealed in the plot, but I really hope that Rembley will not be bad, good luck to the developer in developing the game, I'm looking forward to chapter 2

I wished the main character could interact with rambley more in game. Could you imagine the funny interactions they would have, it might stray away from the horror aspect but it would be hilarious. And we get to see rambley care more and more about our character.

@@dragonspirit996I know there will be fanfiction but I’m talking about in the sense not only the mc having voice lines will be funny but also help push the plot. Because in the collectibles it seems that the MC has some motivation to be there, heck it even shows in the chat begging in the game talking to his friends about visiting the park. It would just add depth and more character to well, the character. I just hate it that character especially in horror are just blank slates, at least in bendy there was SOMETHING going with the Mv. (Sorry if this was long I really like this game lol)
I cannot express how much affection I feel for Rambley. I know how it feels to be alone. Hell, I am alone. I feel like I am Finly and Rambley is trying his hardest to make me feel appreciated by trying to give me the best experience he could offer. “You’ve given a spark of sunshine to this kingdom’s faithful devotee…” It’s like we’re there for each other, if we separate we’ll both be subjected to melancholy. After the song was added to Spotify and the entire soundtrack, I instantly added them all to my liked playlists because I love this song and the entire soundtrack + game so much I would play this game forever and keep in track of all the story, lore, and any updates from UniqueGoose about the game or any projects of his. I can’t believe this entire game was made with a tiny group being paid with the little money UG had while in college. I hope Indigo Park doesn’t have any problems with the creators in money or personal problems. Thank you for making this game and reminding us that mascot horror isn’t ruined from cash grabs.

Instead of turning him off, I'm hoping we get to bring him home with us in some way. Like on a phone or a tablet that we find at the park. Even though chapter 1 is just an hour long, I already got way too attached to that adorable raccoon.
He's going to trick us into making him into a physical mascot like the others, then he'll betray us.
there is always something about AIs in videogames being sad which makes me want to hug them. I really do hope we help Rambley reunite with all his friends (even Lloyd.).
I absolutely love the ending credits song to this game. I hope that is a theme you continue to do in future chapters. I also look forward to future chapters of this game because it was a delightful experience.

Honestly, this was a banger. I I really felt for Rambley throughout the entire game, and the two major points for this are one he confesses and acknowledges the park has been shut down for ages, and wants to bring it back to life, and right here, at the end of the song, especially when he says “please” and slightly before, when he says “when all my old friends are united again, and I won’t feel so left behind” Honestly, I can’t wait for more of Rambley! On another note, being a wannabe game designer/Dev myself, I am also curious what the process is like to bring something like this from start to finish.

Fun fact: in the beginning when rambley glitches on the train the second time, you can see a hand covering his mouth before it shuts off. Also when the train crashes and you come across the Molly mascot thing, you can hear her say “he hurt Lloyd” a few times when the voice is glitching

something I noticed while listening to the song, and watching play throughs
Rambleys voice becomes more, staticy when he is talking about his friends, and when your being chased by molly his voice goes from energetic staticy to, almost horrified.. as if he wasn't aware his friends are evil, and when he finds out it sounds like he blames himself, through out the entire game there is an underlying hint of guilt in his little voice...
I think he blames himself for what's been happening to his home

This whole song is amazing, but the final part at 2:53 gave me goosebumps, and makes me really wanna see Rambley save his friends from what they've become....
I would too, but remember, this is a horror game. If Rambley's friends CAN be saved, there will always be a heavy price to pay. (ref: Alan Wake 2)

I cried. Actually wept tears like a massive wuss, and it's only Chapter 1. I love Rambley so much despite his handful of appearances. The VA did a great job, and the animations are absolutely adorable. The horror elements were also really well done and the tension build-up at multiple points had me on edge!! I don't normally praise mascot horror games, but this one just hits different.

I just wanted to say I absolutely love Indigo Park. I have watched two playthroughs of it and I can't get enough! Rambly holds a special place in my heart, he is the sweetest. I wish I was in the position to be able to join the kickstarters, but I'll do my best by supporting through watching a bunch of playthroughs! I can't wait for chapter 2, and the rest of the game! I can't wait to see what y'all come up with! This is easily my favorite game of 2024!

This proof of concept game did an amazing job at getting its main NPC to shine. Frankly, ramblys writing and the voice actors delivery help give this game its charm. Great work!

What makes me shed a tear IRL over this song is knowing how it feels to be starved of human contact for so many years. I did it to myself, and I feel like Rambley didn't deserve to be put in the same position against his will.
I feel like the character Salem is kind of misunderstood. I mean she is a skunk I think and in the real world skunks are usually depicted as gross and vile creatures that just care about spraying you and she is a skunk so she might’ve been misunderstood as we all know a bully is not a bully unless something happened to that bully, but that’s just a theory A GAME THEORY!!!!!!!
