Many of us seem to spend an incredible amount of time and energy chasing the dream job. Afterall, a bigger pay check often translates into a better car, a bigger house and a higher worldly social status. What Are You Striving for: Dunya or Akhirah? But we are warned about this in The Qur’an: “Rivalry in worldly increase distracts you (from the remembrance of Allah), till you come to the graves”.

Anas b. Malik (r) reported:
Prophet ﷺ said- " The Paradise is surrounded by hardships and the Hell-Fire is surrounded by temptations"
The life of this dunya is difficulty upon difficulty, hardship upon hardship. When one catastrophe goes up another one shows up. That’s all I can tell you about this life. Testing and hardship, frustration, disappointment, sadness, heart-break, madness and so on - life is full of it. But the believer faces it all with patience and with the hope of paradise. You have to be patient or you’re not going anywhere. You lose it in this life and the next. There is no sadness, tiredness, fatigue or trials and tribulations in paradise. Pure uncontaminated happiness.
I always believed that people who became close to me would never become strangers. but i was wrong.
How foolish are we rush our prayers, when Allah is the owner of time?
If only we could really understand this and Truly implement this...
May Allah Forgive Us and bless us and grant us all the highest ranks of jannah Amen 🤲🏽

Salam bro, I have been dealing with those kind of thoughts for a long time. I used to take all my pain and direct it toward my life, when it is out of my control. Allah (swt) handles it all, do not let this world have the pleasure of breaking you down bro❤️.

“Righteous actions, and from them fasting, in the [first] ten days of Dhul-Hijjah are more beloved to Allāh than righteous actions in the last ten days of [the blessed month of] Ramadān. *Yet people are heedless of the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah;* the days lapse and the people continue with their normals ways. You find no increase in recitation of the Qur’ān or other acts of worship, rather some of them are even stingy with the _takbeer_ [uttering Allāhu Akbar (rememberance and commemoration [of Allāh].”

We are in hard times Muslim brothers and sisters. The fitna is so much, it's everywhere, it's even entering the hearts of Muslims. We're forgetting about akhira and focusing on dunya. Sometimes I just say to myself, all the signs have come, Ya Allah, there's nothing left.
When we pray in sujood, always pray for the Muslim ummah, for Allah's mercy and guidance in this difficult times.

@@griefer5846 He can ask for both. A few verses in the Quran, Surah Al Baqarah for example, says that people who only ask for the world will not see paradise while people who ask for the world and the afterlife and protection from the fire are the true believers.
But Allah loves that you spend money on good deeds and that you work for the sake of Allah. Hoarding money and buying cars, mansions etc. even instead of saving the hungry or spending time with your family, brings you closer to Hellfire. Allah does not love those who dwell in excess.

The materialistic deception of the world is appealing but what is there in the hereafter is even better so don’t lose out work on achieving the goodness of jannah we want comfort in duniya too but remember this duniya is not eternal but temporary
Both are equally important. They are two sides of the same coin. Integral part of each other. Live the life of a productive Muslim in this duniya, your akhirah will be good in sha Allah! Your profession, spouse, kids, family, money, society, humanity, environment, culture, prayers, everything is a wonderful tool to use for gaining high status in akhirah.
I beg to differ, Ākhirah is eternal....Dunya is not.
There is no comparison to there hereafter which is eternal. It is not equally important, the next life is exceedingly more important. Everything else I definitely agree with.

It is recommended to fast nine days of Dhul-Hijjah
Fasting nine days of Dhul-Hijjah is mustahabb (recommended). This is indicated by the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), as narrated in the hadeeth of Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him):
“There are no days on which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days - i.e., ten days of Dhul-Hijjah).” They said: “O Messenger of Allah, not even jihad for the sake of Allah?” He said: “Not even jihad for the sake of Allah, unless a man goes out himself with his wealth and does not come back with anything (i.e., he expends all his wealth and is martyred).” (Narrated by al-Bukhari, 969)
9 hours of work, 2 hours of commute, 8 hours of sleep = 5 hours of free time.... 1 hour spend eating.... 1 hour spent praying... 3 hours left... easier said than done....
Ideally I wish I was not working so I can devote my time to my Akhirah.... it is tough time we are living in.
Is your work not for the Akhirah? Rethink your intentions and everything you do will be for the Akhirah and to please Allah.

Well of course working hard to earn lawful money is worship, you can use money for sadaqah as well and to maintain the family and so much more...
@@darkhaven87 as long as you intend to do something which is permitted with the intention of pleasing Allah or something related to the religion, it will count as worship.
There is a hadith in Sahih Muslim and Bukhari that the scholars use as evidence for this.
The Prophet (Allah bless him & give him peace) said, “Verily actions are by their intentions, and one shall only have that which one intended."
Working is a great reward if its for family and is halal

Yes we need to balance both. Allah says this world matter s alot but don't forget about the hereafter our deeds, prayers, helping others and being good humans. Raising our children properly. End of day be a good human and fear Allah

1 - Whoever says SubhanAllahi wa biHamdihi (Glory be to Allah and Praise Him) a hundred times during the day, his sins are wiped away, even if they are like the foam of the sea [Sahih al-Bukhari; #7:168, Sahih Muslim; #4:2071]
2 - whoever says SubhanAllahi wa biHamdihi, Subhan-Allahi 'l-`adheem (Glory be to Allah, and Praise, Glory be to Allah, the Supreme)
Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Two words are light on the tongue, weigh heavily in the balance, they are loved by the Most Merciful One " [Sahih al-Bukhari; #7:67, Sahih Muslim, #4:2071]
3. La Hawla wa la Quwatta illa Billah (There is no Might or Power except with Allah)
[the above is] a treasure from the treasures of Paradise.[Sahih al-Bukhari; al-Fath al-Bari #11:213, Sahih Muslim #4:2076]
4.SubhanAllah, walHamdulilah, wa La illaha ilAllahu, waAllahu Akbar (Glory be to Allah, All Praise is for Allah, There is No God but Allah, Allah is the Greatest)
The above are mentioned as the four most beloved words to Allah. It does not matter with which one of them is begun.[Sahih Muslim; #3:1685]
Abu Sa`id (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) said, "Perform the enduring goods deeds (al-baaqiyaat al-SaliHaat) more frequently." They asked, "What are these enduring good deeds?" The Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) replied: Takbir [Allahu Akbar], Tahlil [la ilaha illallah], Tasbih [Subhan'Allah], alhamdulillah, and la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah.
