It's hard to choose the darkest episode. Most of them are dark. Metalhead, Loch Henry, Smithereens, The National Anthem, all have super dark endings. It'd be easier to name episodes without dark endings. 🤣🤣🤣
I agree with your dark endings list. Particularly Beyond the Sea - despite it being such a well told story and so well acted I can't even recommend that to anyone because it's just so damn sad and depressing.
White Christmas is my favorite Episode. But I do have to question how someone that has been blocked can survive in the world. How do they order food, tell a Taxi where to go, get a Plane ticket, Take their car to a mechanic, make phone calls, etc, etc. Maybe for a temporary amount of time or limited none essential life surviving requirements. But Permanently? You might as well just kill them.
Crocodile is the only episode that gave me actual anxiety. It was rough watching her continue her lie so desperately while knowing there’s no way this can continue going unchecked. Also feeling like a helpless bystander to her crimes. My hands were sweaty and I was in pure dread as “you can be anything you want to be” started being sung by her son and his classmates. That the cops arriving didn’t even feel like the release it should have been because I felt like it was all too late.
For me, Loch Henry was the darkest ending of series 6. Just imagine that your partner's dead and your parents were actually deranged serial killers this whole time. That one shook me.
Beyond the sea was F*CKED UP! Not only did David kill Cliff’s family, but cliff had to live the rest of his life knowing the last thing his loved ones saw was him (as David) killing them! My jaw was on the floor til the credits!
@@smileandlaughs Maybe, or maybe not. It's made clear it takes two to navigate the ship. So killing the other guy means suicide for you. And I also meant, that he would have some explaining to do, because it would appear he killed his own family.
The ending of crocodile was much darker. The device pulls the memories based on sight but the baby was blind meaning the device would have been useless if used on the baby.
You make the best black mirror content!! I and I’m sure many others really appreciate it Personally, I would swap crocodile’s place with white bear, and it’s tough for me not to also include metal head although I have no idea which one I would replace it with (out of the 5 from your list)
Shut up dance was dark ending but I think it’s more disturbing making us feel sorry for Kenny then the ending happened it was shocking then we don’t feel sorry but also feel disturbed that we actually felt sorry him
I feel like Black Museum should be on the list, either of the 3 stories. Play test could have easily been on the list. And of course, Entire History of You, simply because obsession lead that man to insanity. But this list has some great picks as well. Some that can't be left off anybody list
As far as dark I’d agree with the list. But the worst to me is easily white Christmas ending. That cookie was something like 1000 years/sec. Try to fathom how awful that would be stuck listening and enduring that, can’t die, can’t escape. Just left on. Imagine one day of that. Black mirror at it’s best the dangers of tech and how something cool like uploading into the matrix could be so terrible.
I know people are chiming in and talking about what their personal darkest endings are but just wanted to let you know I think your list is absolutely flawless.
I'm dying at the idea of any of these except White Christmas being even close to Hated in the Nation. I feel like the scale of 387,000 people suffering the most painful death possible is so much worse than stalking and killing single families.
White bear was by far the darkest imo.. How sicker can you get than child murder they filmed. I think shut uo and dance was disturbing too but more predictable . Black museum should have got a mention ..especially thst first story
Playtest has thé darkest ending in my opinion, it was mindblowing that thé Guy actually died in first minute of test, and everything that happened after 20th minute actually wasnt real
Am I only only one that doesn’t understand the praise for Beyond the Sea! It was the longest most predictable plot I’ve ever seen! They show you the ending at the beginning and you are literally just waiting for the extremely drawn out episode to just hurry up and get there because you already knew what was going to happen
Yeah, it was predictable that something bad was going to come of it. Then the bad thing happens and it just feels mundane and awful. There's no shock or twist to it that makes you think or wonder about anything in particular, it's just bad.
I personally found white Christmas to be intensely sadistic. The way they punish the guy right after they tell his story and the circumstances that led to him becoming unraveled it told me the creators of the show have a deeply moralistic view of the human condition. If you kill someone then you deserve to lose your sanity and be tortured for 10000 years. People are shaped by other people and by a brain that is 99% unconsciously driven. No human action is full self caused or created. That’s why this moralistic view of human nature is so disturbing. Rehabilitation is possible. It works in countries like Norway. If people come out the other side and don’t commit crimes after they go through some rehabilitation it suggests that people are shaped profoundly by circumstance
I totally agree that the punishment was sadistic and certainly not justified, but I don't think you can assume the creators of the show necessarily think it is justified just because it's in the story. Much like White Bear. I very much doubt the shows creators actually condone sadistically using humans as entertainment no matter what their crime.
If no one can see him then how does he live? He's blocked online too its like Peter Parker not killing himself when he literally doesn't exist but is still alive
Shut up and Dance was one where, early on, I already felt like I knew what he was watching that would make him go to the lengths he did. It was a good ending though
Why does everyone find the ending of Beyond The Sea shocking? That's something we figured out the moment the idea of sharing the link coming up. Of course it was going to happen. It was not the darkest. And it was too long for something we knew was gonna happen. For me Shut Up and Dance and Loch Henry, are the top. Oh yea, Crocodile too.
I think the most shocking part is that he doesn’t kill the partner and continue uses his link to have a “happy ever after”. Instead, he killed the wife and kid.
I originally thought while watching the episode that David was gonna kill Cliff and essentially take over cliffs life and not tell anyone he actually isn’t cliff.
Listen, when you can say a Black Mirror ending is one of the darkest, that’s saying something from a pitch black show. I never get enough of your Black Mirror content. Not to be pushy but I want more. 😂😂😂😂 The list is on point. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about Beyond the Sea. Shut up and Dance sticks with me. White Bear and White Christmas? So good!!!

shut up and dance, crocodile and hated in nation
You forgot that the baby was blind in crocodile which made the murder worse

the white christmas one haunts me the most, since it fks with the perception of reality for all time
White Christmas is the best episode of the whole show I think
For me, Loch Henry was the darkest ending of series 6. Just imagine that your partner's dead and your parents were actually deranged serial killers this whole time. That one shook me.
Yeah that was such a dark one!
only episode (on par with spaceship episode) that impressed me.
Beyond the sea was F*CKED UP! Not only did David kill Cliff’s family, but cliff had to live the rest of his life knowing the last thing his loved ones saw was him (as David) killing them! My jaw was on the floor til the credits!
That's so true! So dark!
He is going to have some explaining to do when he gets back to Earth.
@tangonevada6249 You know that ship was never going to make it back to earth. Cliff will kill David on that ship, and they will eventually both die.
@@smileandlaughs Maybe, or maybe not. It's made clear it takes two to navigate the ship. So killing the other guy means suicide for you. And I also meant, that he would have some explaining to do, because it would appear he killed his own family.
His kindness costed him!
The ending of crocodile was much darker. The device pulls the memories based on sight but the baby was blind meaning the device would have been useless if used on the baby.
Truth!
Oh? I never got that the baby was blind
And it was the guinea pig that saw her kill the blind baby, so presumably they can use the same tech on the guinea pig.
Great episode.
@@wambuiiamThey mention it when the police find the body.
@@MoxieMcMurder exactly! If she hadn't killed the baby, she'd have gotten away scott free.
The ending of Hated in the Nation was pretty dark! It did ended up having the most deaths 370,000 and change! 😳😬
Catastrophic results!
What about demon 79?
You make the best black mirror content!! I and I’m sure many others really appreciate it

I agree. I think this list should be called “most graphic dark endings of dark mirror”. There are far darker endings that aren’t as graphic.
The ending of Playtest deserves an honorable mention. That was the episode that made me take a binge break 😩
True that was such a dark one!
My favourite episode of thé entire show!
When he died calling for his mom broke my heart.
I still like to think the red at the end of Beyond the Sea was just paint 😂

True, that is pretty dark!
Yeah in the video it said years could have passed, when In reality it was millions and millions of years
Almost all Black Mirror are dark, that is what makes the show so good.
Most definitely!
Is there any bright episodes?
I know people are chiming in and talking about what their personal darkest endings are but just wanted to let you know I think your list is absolutely flawless.

Alex really chewed up the role of Kenny
He did - he did a great job!
White bear was by far the darkest imo.. How sicker can you get than child murder they filmed. I think shut uo and dance was disturbing too but more predictable .
Black museum should have got a mention ..especially thst first story
Men against fire had one of the darkest endings.
True, that was pretty dark!
I wanted to rip my heart out.
explain pls
Agreed! I’d put “shut and dance” first but great list nonetheless
Thanks a lot! It was a close one between the top 2!
The baby couldn't see that is why they were in shock
Surprised no one commented about White Bear! First episode I ever saw! Got me hooked! Such a thriller!
That is a great episode!
Keep up the awesome content man, seeing you make BM vids again is such a throwback! Excited for season 7 🤞
Glad you're enjoying the videos and nice to know you've been around since the early days!
Gotta watch em all back.. but in recent memory.. is beyond the sea.. and shut up and dance
Playtest has thé darkest ending in my opinion, it was mindblowing that thé Guy actually died in first minute of test, and everything that happened after 20th minute actually wasnt real
It is a powerful one for sure!
Woohoo, first comment! Great video, as always!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video!

Well done!
Loch Henry has to make the cut
It was so close to getting on there!
@@BrainPilot Lol I say that but don't know which one to exclude. Too close to call!
Honorable mention it is my favorite of season 6
Loch Henry was good but I wouldn’t think close at all to top 5 darkest
Loch Henry was also pretty fucked up

That's a good spot then! Yeah most definitely!
What makes it worse is that the baby was blind. He wouldn’t have been able to have his memories traced anyway because he couldn’t see 😢
Such a sad twist!
I vote Playtest and Black Museum to have the darkest ending
They do have dark endings to be fair!
Crocodile give me anxiety

San junipero was the darkest
3.20? DUH.
This video proves that the IMDB user reviews of season 6 should not be taken seriously.
God this show is so .... boring!!
