That was awesome, you included some killer drummers who are very much underrated,or possibly forgotten,who deserve some credit.Seeing Karen Carpenter playing on her ludwig kit-doing a very nice buddy Rich style solo was great to see again,must ave been 25 years since i saw that last.I just found your channel and will watch all of them.
A man of culture I see choosing Zigaboo for Lousiana. I am from New Orleans and his playing has been a huge inspiration for me.
Lousiana has so many legendary drummers! It was the birth place of the modern drum set!
Pleasantly surprised to see Levon Helm getting some love. He’s sadly under appreciated.

I learned from STEVE GROVER @ UMA University of Maine. Augusta Jazz Contemporary music program. I also studied with a man named Phil Verrill who also played with Dizzy & learned from Alan Dawson in Boston. That's all I'ma say. I'll have videos coming real soon myself. 😆
While I definitely agree that Terry was the best drummer to come out of Cali, I do think Alex Van Halen deserves an honorable mention! Great video!
I think he’s going off of where they were born. Like Jeff Porcaro and Karen Carpenter were both born in CT but moved later to Cali. The Van Halen brothers were born in Amsterdam

While Bernard Purdie is a good pick for Maryland, I do believe an honorable mention should have gone to the ABSOLUTELY MONSTROUS Dennis Chambers.
Best and most famous are totally different things. One being subjective and the other factual.
