This song written by Khitab Ud Din Wasif is about never giving up in life and never to abandon the struggles in chasing one’s passions. This is about having an Epicurean attitude towards life by maximising the pleasures that life has to offer and doing so with great conviction. Unlike a moth that dances around a candle seeking light and warmth and getting burned in the process, the candle itself keeps burning till dawn giving away light and warmth sought by the moth. Wasif tells us to be the candle, not the moth by giving away radiance, warmth and light to others even if it consumes one all together. Moreover, one should never lose sight of one’s destination/goal and strive to get there even if swimming against the tides in rough waters.
To quote Haruki Murakami, a famous Japanese novelist: “Dance, Dance, Dance! You gotta dance. As long as the music plays. You gotta dance. Don't even think why. Start to think, your feet stop. We’ve tried to capture the true essence of this song with a hope that this will motivate the listeners to enjoy life, follow their passions, dream and follow the dreams, be a beacon of light to others, and never give up no matter how arduous and hard the journey is to realise those dreams and reach the destination.
