@jaeFreshmen You my friend are a god send, your content is invaluable, your content is exact, relevant and BS free, unlike other channels. Definitely my go to now for mpc related learning. Much respect from Scotland 🏴. ✌️
I have every stand alone instrument and effect plugin for MPC Key 61 and X SE. I don't know where you get something that sound that good in a standalone unit. It's a no brainer to me. Great Vid as always Sir! 🙏🏾
Soft Clipper is a debatable plugin, experts are still figuring out what it actually does. Nothing that you can't achieve with onboard plugins like the Maximizer. I personally opted for Stems (no-brainer), Flex Beat, Mini D (I'm not an 808 guy), Delay Pro (very wild), and Flavor Pro (Lofi must have). The FX plugins mentioned basically put the MPC ahead of the SP 404 MK2. I'm still contemplating Fabric and Jura but even on sale these are very expensive. And let's not underestimate the versatility of the Hype.
experts? who are you talking about bro and i don't think the plugin is that complex atleast for my use which is to make the 808 and drums hit harder and for $20 i dont think its that deep , you can get by with the presets alone and honestly the sale price for the fabric collection i would say matches the worth
@@JaeFreshmen What you're describing is already possible with MPC's onboard plugins, like "making stuff louder". It's about getting beyond that. Multiple very knowledgeable MPC reviewers that go a lot deeper than just checking presets will offer insights about this plugin that I recommend you to check. I'll give you two but there are more than that: ua-cam.com/video/tNspW6LIp5w/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/EdUzzXUU2a0/v-deo.html
Maximizer distorts af when cranked and lookahead introduses delay (mpc doesn't do latency compensation). Maximizer uses same algorithm as limiter , and both produce same tinny distortion sound. Analog limiter produces fat warm overdrive ( aka limiting artifacts ). Limiters kill the bass unless you do carefull non-linear bass compensation after limiting.
Where the fuck did you get that info from? That isn't correct at all. What do you mean "experts are still figuring out"? It's very simple. Non-linear behaviour doesn't have to be explained, it is non-linear behaviour and that's why there's still a point in releasing new ones. I made my first one from scratch 20 years ago. What the HELL are you talking about? This is the first time i've ever heard anyone say this in my life.
Also in regard to the prices of the instrument plugins... People should keep in mind that options become endless once you design your own sounds. Very good video Jae
Thank you for your content. Its very digestible. Ive been watching for 3 weeks now and just got my live ii this past weekend and im coming from maschine 2 and M+ Would you consider making another video showing how we can achieve similar functionality when making the switch?
What's up brother. Besides the Fabric XL and Jura, what else would you recommend out of the Studio Strings, OP-X4, Mini D, Piano or Electric Piano? Do you happen to know how many sounds the Fabric XL comes with?
naw, i actually just found out that they had some but i think its only one they have for the fabric xl called urban heat or something , do they have more? and if it they do , it gotta be some trap sounds that are fire for me to get it but if its like edm preset and some other stuff im good on that lol
it aint gotta be any deeper than making your 808 and drums hit hard , so many producer get fixated about knowing everything about what a plugin does instead of understanding what theyre trying to achieve
I think they on a great pad with plugins (especialy 4 standalone) , cuz many plugins werent there 3 yrs ago , so i expect many more. And about the price , they have sells all the time. I bought mini d , studio strings on sell (waiting for EP and oxp4 sale ) , and new plugins have a intro price aswell. And ypu can chpose 1 for free with new mpc

What up Jae? Just found your channel and I like how detail your videos are. EXCELLENT!

Dope. You Try Hype? It's my first stop. Them bells hit. Blessings to you bro.
yea hype is fire and good for trap as well
Hype be sliding
Yeah, but hype is a built-in, free plugin, so no affiliate link for it ;)
That first beat SHEESH 🔥🔥🔥🔥 i cant wait to see what you do with 3.0 bro (you shoulda been had that Akai slipping lol)
Excellent advice, I also really enjoy Delay Pro, OPX-4 and Flavor Pro.
delay pro is cool , i think it be doing to much lol i like the stock delay more
@@JaeFreshmen Try mixing in some of the filter delay preset on your hats. Keep the mix low just to add some movement. Can be really cool.
@@trickfall8752 ill see whats up
Appreciate your sincerity bro. Thanks for sharing prices and why you think they’re worth it

Hey what 808 and bass did you use on that first beat???
I always forget about flexbeat! It’s really cool but it just drops out of my head
definitely underrated
Jaeman have you got the expansions for fabric and the other plugins? Been thinking but don’t know if it’s worth it

😮 whaaat you picked Jura over mini D?
I'm learning Jura is fire though.
Jura is better than mini d lol I have both
i dont get the purpose so much of the soft clipper plugin. is it just a different compressor?
it aint gotta be any deeper than making your 808 and drums hit hard , so many producer get fixated about knowing everything about what a plugin does instead of understanding what theyre trying to achieve
Thanks again

Them sales help😂im bout to get studio string now hopefully it’s still going 😂😂
@@floydhardrick2628 yeah i hope opx4 is coming soon. I know it was a while back for 79,99 , so hopefully they do it again soon
I have them all but the Sub. Getting that one tomorrow. It's still $39.00
would appreciate if you can use my affiliate link but either way thanks for watching bro
Thanks
Had real juno 106. Them damn voices kept dying. Mini d shocked me tho. Its super tight
Flexbeat glitches when u track out in protools
I bought fabric XL urban heat. But I think it’s only for mpc beats 😣. Anyone have it on standalone?!
I have it on standalone MPC One! I remember there was a specific way to install it or it didn’t work right. Check their instructions
🔥✔️🎯💯✔️🌴
To be fair the pianos on fabric are weak especially the Rhodes, this isn’t a players plugin.
😎👌🏾
Lelor.
Hey what 808 and bass did you use on that first beat????
