Glenbow Ranch: An Ebiking Mecca?

So far, this might just be an ebike Mecca, because we're overtly welcome.
Have you ever wanted to explore Canada's prairies by ebike? Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park is a preserved slice of prairie country. It has fantastic views, great facilities, good signage and seems to welcome ebikes. I know, this shouldn't be an issue anywhere, but we all know how it is. People don't like change and more often than not you encounter negativity. But here it really seems like they're embracing the growing ebike population.
For those of you that just want to research the ride beforehand, this video is also for you.
Some notes on this ride:
- There's a lot of substantial declines. You need to control your speed without frying your brakes.
- The opposite is also true. There are a lot of steep inclines. Have a fully charged battery.
- Get there early for the sunrise and the trail is empty.
- Take sunscreen and lots of water. It is remote.
- Have a puncture repair kit. There are many gravel pathways.
- There are plenty of toilets.
- Parking may get full later in the day but is empty early in the morning.
- Parking seems to be secure and is covered by camera.
- You will need about 2-3 hours to complete the ride, excluding any hiking or photography.
- It is best enjoyed early in the day, before the summer heat.
- Pack your bear spray. This is bear country.
