Thanks bro! It fixed my problem. It's been a week and the malfunction light has not returned. I didn't even need to use my OBDII to clear the code.
Great video man! Gonna try this today and hoping it makes the difference. I appreciate it.
Great video! Thank you very much. I just fixed my problem, after the ground wire melted the socket. Thank you again!
Ahhhhh I cannot thank you enough for making this video!!!! 😭 so helpful. I *finally* fixed my blinker after replacing every single stupid bulb haha. This was the fix I needed. Tysm!!
Great video! I thought I was going to have to wire the new ground wire into the harness, I didn't know you could just solder it to the rail on the bulb carrier, and then put the new ground wire right to the frame ground. Good stuff.
Great fix, I have done this on my E60 and all sorted. You can also use a spade connector and use a spare terminal on the BMW grounding plate bolted to the car. The plastic cover comes off easily.
Great video! I just had this issue with the ground melting and I did this and it works perfectly again! Thank you!
Thank you very much for this video, it helped me a lot because i have this issue with my facelift Taillights. Now i know why 1 off the light wasn’t working. Keep up the good work bro 👍🏻
Ready to fix my e60 thanks for the explanation.
Had a similar issues with my mini the ground connection on the plug melted and was not making connection. I cut the brown wire above the 6 prong plug and added a male connection, soldered a new wire on the bulb housing with a female connection of the other end plunged in the new ground and just used the old plug minus the ground for the other connection and it did the trick with no money spent thanks.
Thanks for showing this my e61 has a similar problem. A poorly designed system from the start.
Mine is doing the same thing is that the bull for the round bit of the light if it is the to of
Mine has went out thanks 👍
Hey I have a 2008 a E90 2-door Coupe in my right rear tail light for that does no burn marks the original bulb is burnt-out but now I get no power to it should I just buy a new bulb holder
Hey @roskinc,
Could you please make a video on how to troubleshoot the rear license plate lights on e60?
I am having a hard time finding a good resource, and also a bit scared to mess up the electrical stuff.
Im sure i have new led lights, so it comes down to the wires. Which i dont know how to play with.
Thanks in advance
Very good video just did minds 👌
Hi! My rearlights on my e61 is kinda flickery and just a little at the front headlights but mostly at the back. Does it have to do with the ground aswell or maybe i just need to code it? Cause i bought the car like this already. I was wondering maybe the previous owner installed a led rear lights or something. Thanks in advance!
Nice video. Can you share a bit more how to solder the wire? Thanks
Hi man, i have subscribed on you.
I have got this melt problem on the left tail light. I've checked all the fuses, changed also LCM light controller module and no change.. All lamps are also good.. Still on the left side only parking light works, far ligth and only one lamp on the back side. On the right - everything works except far light.. Do you know what is the problem can be?...
Happened to me a couple years ago i was so angry that the thing got fried!
Hi,if the ground is already melted ,how to repair it then?
I have the same problem on both sides, I have ordered new parts and rewired the whole thing....was a nightmare. I love my car and BMW but sometimes I wonder how it is possible that BMW actually designed things the way they are...like low grounding? really?
@@tomykentertainment4114 What was the part number of the connector that is prone to melting? I have only been able to find it for previous generation models... I'm going nuts!
Have been wresting with our left tail light (all bulbs out) all weekend and stumbled across your video just before I was about to turn the work over to a mechanic and viola! Works perfectly for exactly zero dollars!! You’re my hero for the weekend amigo!! Thank you!!!
