    I watched this earlier on Airgun 101, i do love these type of videos showing real world groupings, recently i have become a bit dispondent with all the social media cherry picked groups with everyone blowing there trumpets on there "precision" groups. You guys shoot the type of groups i shoot, day in day out, not just on windless days but on the bad ones to, keep the videos coming .

      Hey Kieth. I subscribed to your channel about a year ago. Really like your videos, shooting, and all content. I've been shooting powder burners since a little boy. I have a couple of pump airguns and a couple of break barrels that I am very good with. After your videos, Ernst and Airbuks videos, I am really interested in getting an M3. My question to you is, is it a big transition to the PCP? To watch all the videos and all the information out there, they don't look that complicated to learn. Thanks in advance for your opinion.

    Good morning! Thank you for all your help thus far. Wanted to ask which pellet you prefer to shoot in .25 in the Superior Pellet Liner? I have only shot the FX 34 grain, but I do have the JSb Exact King Heavy and King Heavy MK2 that I haven't go to try yet. I know it really comes down to what the barrel likes, but just wandering if you find one grouping better than the other? Does one do better at a different speed than the other? Oddly, the second time out with the Panthera, the FX 34's weren't grouping as well as they did the first time. Only thing I did different was clean the liner to get the grease out. Maybe it will take several more shots to get it leaded back up. I don't know. Just looking for a recommendation or suggestion. Appreciate the help. Are you planning to go to the Pyramid Cup? If so, I look forward to meeting you. Not often I get to meet someone with the same name. LOL..

    Your neighbors are probably wondering who keeps ringing a bell...lol. Out of the box my .30cal M3 would put pellets in the same hole at 50yds. Slug accuracy, now that took a bit of work and money, but I got there. I did the different barrels, carbon sleeve, etc but slug weight, design, diameter is as crucial as anything in getting that accuracy. It's amazing that slugs with the same weight and diameter but different "bottom" style, flat, cone, dome, etc can make such a difference.

    Thanks Keith! Nice to see a tricked-out MK3! As a serious but non-competitive shooter, I've been extremely happy with my factory stock MK2.
    I sort (only when needed) as well and have a theory that fliers are caused by pellets/slugs being loaded canted (off axis) to the bore, hitting the choke cockeyed, being extruded "bent", then flying off somewhere out of the group. Slugs, being pointy, are more susceptible to being misloaded and groups open up. Seems that single loading is always best for accuracy, so it follows that magazines and pin-probes may be a cause of off-kilter loads and fliers. Just guessing. Proper positioning of the slug to the rifling might be a cause for larger groups as well, so I'll be experimenting with seating depth this year. Cheers!

    • @68Whiskey
      @68Whiskey  Рік тому

      Thanks hank. The pellet probe seats them nicely because it contacts all edges Im convinced the fliers in my guns are strictly the pellet itself And even if they weigh fine an air bubble inside is a disaster

    I use 177cal because I have 25,000 pellets of everything over 10gr. I hunt squirrel and rabbit.
    Keeping the above conditions in mind. Which FX would you recommend? Iam leaning towards the Impact Compact, Maverick Compact and the Dreamtact Compact. Again, I will be buying in 177cal.

Probably not the best choice for benchrest, but I love the look of it. I have it shooting FX 34 grain at 886 at the moment. Reg is at 125 on 17 power wheel. Should I turn the reg down some?

    • @68Whiskey
      @68Whiskey  Рік тому

      Great question, this liner has a carbon fiber sleeve epoxied to it which i believe helps with consistency. I like it better than just sliding one on. I do this to all of my liners now. To the other point I have three 30 cal pellet setups (two on loan to friends for NAC) , and I tried four liners total to set up all three. The one liner i didnt use wasnt bad, it was just an old stx and i went with the new superior liner because i think it shoots tighter. I thought one rifle wasnt as accurate as the others but then i realized i had the reg too high. When i brought it down to 110 it tightened right up. Pellets aren’t hard to tune at all. Slugs are another story….total PIA and i usually end up trying a few liners to see what the gun and slug likes best.
