If I’m not mistaking. You can still tribute a monster with Lilith while her effect is negated. You just won’t be able to pick choose trap cards since the tribute effect isn’t seen as the activated effect.

Best Counter card to Have Against Banish is Gizmek Makami and Gizmek Orochi. As these two cards can combo Nicely together, allowing you to gain back Deck Advantage while also having the means to destroy a card on the field.
But in all honesty, the Best card to Use in “Lair” is “Share the Pain”.

I loved Lair of Darkness but Konami crippled it with banlists to keep other decks in check (instead of banning cards from the problematic archetype) and refuses to release new support. Instead they use Rikka as their "Tribute your opponents monster" archetype. Now it needs to play a floodgate strategy to be able to compete at the lower levels of play.

Pure yang zing is quite slow. I have a deck with metalfoes combined with Yang zing. That way you don't have to wait for opponent to crash into them, and you can make some decent plays on your own turn
