It’s because prep academies don’t focus on normal schooling. They focus on the most minimal basics of education and force all the attention to the sports causing huge problems for the student later on in life.

James Turner Duval county has something called open enrollment allowing you to go to any school you want in the county (this is Jacksonville btw)

IMG was bigger and had a little bit over on the talent on Mater Dei. Mater Dei definitely outcoached IMG with trick plays and various read plays. Plain and Simple. In short , IMG was bigger and stronger , Mater Dei was more disciplined and better coached.

Prexzii CS:GO IMG did have bigger guys but a smaller team. And a few of those guys on their team were 22 going up against 17 and 18 years olds. My cousins kicked ass out on that field and the game was epic.

I went to high school when Kyle Murray was running the show at Allen highschool and
1. High schools definitely recruit and go as far as offering housing to the family to relocate
2. Grades don’t matter when you’re a 4 or 5 star recruit
3. The school gives you an insane amount of privileges if you’re a starter or a key player on the team (such as never getting in trouble, no consequences to 99% of your actions, free lunches at areas where free lunch isn’t accepted such as subway or Pizza Hut in the caf)

I've been watching IMG play for over four years, and usually what happens is the other team plays a really competitive first quarter, and than IMG just lays on the other team like a sumo wrestler and squishes them to death with their talent and sheer size. Happened every. single. time. To Miami Central, Carol City, Chandler, East from Utah, St.Johns, Corona Centennial, Bergen Catholic, etc, etc. Mater Dei was able to match them, but even they started to get gassed late in the fourth.
Gtfo, St Johns struggled 21-14 with a medicore Georgia team in Marietta. No way they lose to SJC.
Log Arithms mater dei isn’t even the best so cal team every year. They are top 5 tho every year lmao they are a winning school here and play so clean. They help other teams get up it’s what they are taught lol. They can’t fight any player if they wanted too. They play with pride. So many good schools in that division tho here in Cali.

Do you know what IMG reminds me of? Everybody's fears deep deep down. I always see High School teams calling out IMG and twitter thuggin', but when IMG calls they are quiet as a mice. And even then, when the teams agree to play the other team is wide-eyed and scared of mighty IMG. Mater Dei is an insanely physicaly team, Bishop Gorman and Bergen Catholic said they've never seen a team as physical as MD, but even MD was struggling with IMG. Goes to show you how good of a team MD is.

I want to see IMG play Caledonia from Minnesota. Caledonia has won the state championship 7 out of the last 8 years. Had a 3 peat, didn’t make it a year, and now they are on a 4 peat. Currently they have the longest win streak in the nation with 54 consecutive wins.

I'm not a fan of the fact that IMG recruit players nationally either, but fair is fair and you got to call it that way for the benefit of the players and the Integrity of the game.
All told, there were over 100 plays during that game. Did you see them all? Do you know who had more penalties? I didn't think so.
