We stayed in Voco for a week during the ramadaan 2024 . Very nice experience. Very neat and very clean . The shopping mall was excellent for day to day necessities.and for qauility products . 7 km from haraam. The bus shuttle service was excellent as with no delays or issues. We from Cape Town South Africa. Shukran for a pleasant stay ..

What's the shuttle bus like? How long do you have to wait? And is the distant to makkah and drop off point close or far? I'm looking to book between voco or Novotel
Salaam, there are frequent buses so you will be waiting 10-15 mins only.

Is it cheaper to book your H1 Van or is it better to book a big taxi before you get to the airport.

If you want a cheaper option, there is a bus which takes you to Makkah Bus Station which costs 25 SAR per person. You can get it directly from the terminal.

This room cost me approximately £140 per night for two adults and one baby. Not including food.

Is uber expensive in SA?
Thank you for watching. May Allah accept your Hajj insha’Allah and safe travels. Uber is cheaper than in the Uk. A 20 minute journey costs roughly £7. There’s a different app called Careem which is a bit cheaper than Uber and has more drivers. I’m going to be making a video on Saudi taxis so make sure you subscribe so you can see that 😀

Do I need to bargain with the uber/careem drivers?
@@speakup2888 not with Uber or Careem, as their prices are fixed. You can pay by via the app directly or with Careem you can choose to pay cash as an option. I don’t think it’s a good idea to bargain with cash if the price has already been decided by Careem. You can bargain with the street taxis(the green taxis), generally price is by meter but they often quote the price before driving you so you can always haggle them down if you prefer.
There are also Ego and Jeeny they are cheaper than Uber and Careem

When I went in March, it was around £140 per night for 2 people including breakfast.
From Jeddah to Makkah or medina to Jeddah
If from Jeddah, you could use a taxi service Careem. Sign up to the app and book when you land. Cost for a big car (around 6 people) will be approximately 220 SAR to get to your hotel in Makkah.

It depends on which package you choose when booking. I had breakfast included.
No gym?
There is a gym, unfortunately it was closed during my stay as it was being renovated. It's probably open now though.
