Thrilled to find your analysis of this unplayable solo by George..and boy do you do it beautifully!!! I remember back in Chicago in 1978 or '79..I brought this solo into my guitar teacher downtown Chicago on south Michigan Ave...we listened on a little cassette player...and when we got to a part just passed where you stop, the tape / line seems to "slow down" or be slightly distorted time-wise....my teacher listened over and over and over...looked at me and said "I can't figure out what he's doing there"...I found this very interesting at the time...that he was trying to figure it out, not just copy him, but actually figure it out....I know I"m making too big a deal over this, but I was young, impressionable, ......Thank you, and I agree with every word you said except for some reason you left out Wes Montgomery...which just goes to show you the diversity out there...our minds obviously work similarly in many musical realms, but not identically....ah, the beauty of subtle diversity/variations. THANK YOU>.new subscribers and donor......Neil
Sounds great! I see you use a Red Plate. I only know two guys in NY who have those. I use a FUCHS. How are you filming your video/sound? Great interpretation of his solo, really exact, and great comping.
