Ton: before you put the new Warrior away for the season ; would you do a video on launching your new Warrior boat by yourself? Would just like to see how you launch and load the Warrior without having a courtesy-dock.
I'd like to see that too. Everyone has their way, I launch alone most of the time. Always different, depending on location and conditions. Just have to find what's best for you. Try to be out of there fast, for others. Sometimes... They have to wait. Just the way it is.
I had quadruple bypass heart surgery on 9/14. The surgeon told me before surgery that he would have me fishing before Christmas. Today he cleared me to drive again and to fish again. I’m a happy man🕺🏼🕺🏼🕺🏼🕺🏼🕺🏼🕺🏼🕺🏼🕺🏼❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I've asked this on Walleye Central, never really got a straight answer. I know there's never a right or wrong, it's not that simple. .. It's fishing, it's just how it goes sometimes... What do u do when a big walleye hits, runs, u get her back in, just to feel it lock on bottom below you.. ? I've had it happen twice. Once at Depere in March, once at winneconne mid Nov. And...just to add to the pain, both were last cast, last fish, of the trip. So, it left a sour taste in my mouth. I need pay back... One in Winneconne was only on 2,3 minutes,, locked on bottom, then took off, snapping line instantly. One at Depere, really hurt.. 20 minute fight. Smacked a #5 flicker shad, Fusion hooks, got her close, caught a glimpse of her, but she ran, before we could grab net. 2, 40yrd+ runs, slow and steady. Got her back in close, then ran again. Finally locked bottom, off side of boat, wouldn't budge. Over 20 minutes, even had boats around us stop fishing to watch the fight. Had my rod in a U, several times. Backed off on drag a little, trying to wear her out, with no luck. Sat on bottom a minute or 2, started coming up, then took off down stream, spit the hook. Lure went flying. Both fish did what they wanted, I had no control. Gear... Ugly Stick Lite,, Blue wrap...(Walmart) Med/hv, fast, 8' 1 pc. rod, 2500 nasci reel. 12lb 832 suffix. 24", 12 lb flouro. Leader. Brand new flicker shad, Fusion hooks. I know it's not the best gear. But for the cost, I love them. Atleast until I can afford to buy better. Note.. Both times, snapped the 832, well above knots. And I do strip few feet of line, consistently, when re-tying, etc. To Avoid any weak spots. What can I do to improve my chances, when it happens again ? Step up to 14,16 lb braid & leader ? Swap hooks,, one size up, ? At some point, I'm more worried about ripping a mouth, than bending a hook... Maybe a hook with a bigger gap, or longer shaft, So it Hooks deeper in the jaw ? I'm no pro, but been fishing long enough where I do ok. This is the 1st time I don't know what to try. What would you do ?
Rut Roh, Tom committed a Cardinal Sin....called Shelby, Big Shelbs. She was like "what?" Always a great video with these two but Tom better be careful or he'll be fishing alone.
Another great Video. My wife is friends with Courtney at the resort. We make it up there a handful of times every year, its a great place that I am sure appreciates your business! Keep on with the content, it has helped me immensely as well as many others I am sure.
It's so much fun to watch the two of you fishing together, and to have Stella and Surley on board is awesome! I can't get my 4-legged Betty on my boat. I'm curious what your water temps are. Here in northern Arkansas, water temps are upper 60's. Walleye are dispersed and deep, and the bite is virtually nil. I'm not sure I understand the biology of the whole thing.
Snagged an anchor rope musky fishing today, pulled it up and recovered a nice looking handmade lure marked with “headlock 5 of 10” “2016” and initials “TS”. Had a flashback of you using something like that. Still would’ve rather caught a musky.
About how deep do you go this time of year? I’m trying for walleye or crappie at a smaller lake that’s fairly bowl shaped but gets as deep as 70 feet. Not sure if I should be trying shallow or 20-30
Why is no one talking about Tom Boley being on a Kalins commercial on John Gillespie fishing show! Very cool congrats Tom. Did you guys get to do a fish fry?
Heading there today through Monday… you and Shel to the B should buy a place on Leech. You’re young and hope you get that done someday! Another awesome video! Thanks Tom and Shelby
I did Leech lake out of Horseshoe Bay last winter and it's a awesome body of water 🎣. Gonna have to try soft water next fall. Thanks again for the videos you two. Be safe 🙏

Thank you great video and info! We love your family! 😇
Great video! Love the jackets for the dogs. My GSP is always cold and would love something like that.

Those aren’t cheap lures! They run $100 or so. Nice find!
@@tylerbodin4565 This one is even part of some limited series. But I think I'll be using it. I'm on a lure freeroll :P
