Yes sir. They did that. The satin chrome was first on the 2016 CVO Pro Street Breakout. The 117 was also available on the Dyna Low Rider S as a kit. All this bike needs is Handlebars and A 2-1 Exhaust.

Big ups to harley Davidson on the new 2018 touring line, I own a 2017 street glide special with added up grades etc etc and won't ride anything else but american harley iron.
But at the same time the competition has closed the gap in touring motorcycles being Yamaha, Honda & Indian who have bike than run cooler and run just as smooth or smoother than HD's if you wanna keep it 100. The truth is Harley Davidson is a brand name that many wish and want to ride due to the history of the brand over 115 years now, but either way you slice it the competition is hot and on point.
Harley Davidson has to get their dealership network in check due to declining sales nation wide, the people who already own harleys will buy them again but new riders see harley prices and the competitions prices with bells and whistles for the buck and are diverted to other brands to the point that harley only MC clubs are allowing non harley riders in their clubs to keep members on board and coming in.

That is one nice bike. Fit and finish it top notch. I'm with you on adding handlebars and lowers. Maybe put some colored leds in the gauges. He did it right with the chopped tour pak, the full looks like it's should be your grandfather's Barcalounger or something. All in all, a really nice bike for the long haul
So ~ I ordered backrest bracket from cvobackrest.com and installed CVO style OEM pad for my ‘17 CVO Street Glide and this backrest is bad ass.
Not only I ride much comfortable posture, my lower back problem solved 👍🏼

I really like the new CVO's I just can't justify the price Harley is asking for their bikes. if Harley made the BMW k1600gtl they would be asking $85k. yet BMW manages to sell that bike for $27k. I guess I'm gonna have to wait till these CVO's hit the used market. Congrats it's a beautiful bike!!! apologies for the price rant. thanks for posting. cheers!

1down I was looking at a Softail slim back in 2015.... it was coming out to around 17k I ended up getting an s1000rr which is a super sport bike that has 200 hp, a quick shift (up and down), cruise control and heated grips for the same price as the Harley. almost got a 6 month old mint k1600gtle instead but that supersport won me over with it's thrill. I should have got the k16. I hardly ride the RR cuz it's just not fun to ride unless youre risking jail time.

1down that new beemer has power like my Ninja. That was my rant about the HD. Everyone pumping em up. It's the 🌊 everyone riding. I like the rg the way it looks mostly the fairing. And of course the rumble. But this bike has many touches that I like, specifically the Black chrome and orange. Those S.F. colors maaaaaang
Don Quixote that BMW has more technology and features than any HD. Not to mention the 140hp compared to a 80hp v-twin.

I just bought a 2018 CVO myself. Was wondering if you had any info on the drivers backrest bracket? Dealer says no way to do it...but yet there it is. I'm assuming it's an aftermarket piece. Any idea where it was purchased and maybe a part no. ?

Great review!! Very well done! Just a note..... according to HD the fairing lowers will not fit because of the 21 inch wheel and what they did to the front suspension. The Street Glide comes with lowers and speakers . I would have to go with it over the 21" wheel RG. Also any factory 114 can be upped to a 117 with a Screamin Eagle kit, can you say 117 Stage iv softail?? lol.

I just changed out my chopped engine guard for a regular Roadglide engine guard so I could ad lower fairings. Don’t forget to order the new front fairing support also.
What's the info for the backrest? Need some details on that.

Looks like HD saw what Victory did with the 2015 Magnum X1. Color scheme, high output sound system and 21" wheel. Basically the same concept at twice the money.l

Since the tour pack was not factory installed does it lock with the remote locking system?
Charles Lewis no sir the remote won’t lock the tour pack if it wasn’t designed by HARLEY then that feature is obsolete.
Gentlemen; I´ve read on several FB forums that you can buy the HD servo motor, and need only modify the bracket to fit it to the chopped tour pack. Might be worth looking in too... ;)
