Hello Mads, so grateful we had you with us in the Faroe Islands your experience and knowledge of photography and the terrain opened up a whole new experience for me and now I have even more passion for landscape photography.
Fantastic shots there Mads - the 2nd was my favourite. I've been using a custom Google map to log locations for years now so I really see the value in your Faroe Islands map. Most of the pins I have on my map for the Faroe Islands all come from your videos but I don't need to do that anymore as you done all the hard work for me. Nice to see you have linked your videos and added photos as well. I will definately be buying this. 👍
The map was an excellent idea and I had no second thoughts about buying it. I don't think any photographer did that - except International Photographer's Michael Levy, but he did it in a different (physical) way. Being in the Faroes right now, I can better understand how much work/patience/tenacity your photos and videos required. You always say how much you plan the shots, but things are so unpredictable here.
Awesome! Thank you for sharing, I've never been to the islands but I definitely feel very much attracted to this most southern beautiful spot.. 💗✨It's magic
When you share your images Mads sometimes it's hard to put into words the emotion that is felt when the images are seen. All I can say today is these were simply majestic and again many thanks for taking us on your incredible adventures
I already went through all your videos from the Faroe Islands. They help a lot to everyone who is going to visit and desires to experience this views. The PDF file really was the "cherry on the top of the cake". It gives you some return from all oyur effort and It will save me quite some (a LOT of) time to do the planning of my trip there this year (on mid June). Unfortunately, with only ~1week, I wont be able to go to Suduroy... but I hope to already have a great time there. ^^ Thank you very much!! :D
Sooooooo looking forward to my Faroe Islands trip in June! I only wish I was staying more than 5 days. I am heading back to Iceland then for a 10 day trip around the ring road.....AGAIN!
This is an important episode because for all landscape photographers, the ugly truth is that sometimes the weather/light does not work out. It's a natural part of the process (literally). Mads did his best, went out that day, kept hiking and then . . . you'll have to watch the video.
Thank Mads for the map... a nice addition to the one I already made (and found out myself) from your previous videos. Looking forward to my trip even more :)
Thank you for this video. So unbelievable landscape. I adored you, patient, nonetheless, your plan with sunset have no success you always in a good mood.
Thanks for all the great content of this year Mads, excellent work. A suggestion for your maps: it would be great to have the gpx hiking tracks included; would this be possible? Habe a great start in the new year!
Tak for en virkelig fed video og nogle super flotte billeder, har nyt at se dine videos fra Færøerne, har planer om at tager derop for første gang til næste år.
Absolutely outstanding images Mads! It is fantastic that you have gone to the trouble of creating a location map as well. I'll get there maybe one day, but just watching your VLOG is almost as good!
Great videos Mads. I am visiting the Faroe Islands next week and I have bought your map but I am staying one week and recon it's not enough to visit every location. Which locations you recommend?
ah man, now I have to go back to the Faroes! Suduroy looks beautiful! Great video, excellent music, and good to see you're getting a good workout Mads!
Thanks for the excellent videos. What did you do for accommodation on the island (or Faroes generally)? Sudoroy seems like an ideal size and place to camp. 😊
Hallo Mads,it is very good to meet you again. The photos are spectacular. The strong winds in Island or Faroe I know too. A question: Whats the difference to take the pictures with ISO 100 and 1/8 or with ISO 400 and 1/30? My normal ISO is 200 in my three Sonys (A99II, A77II, A7s). With Sony I thougt, higher ISO is no problem. Some tripods have a hook to hang heavy wights on it to stabilize. Stones are everywhere. A good bag is not voluminous. To fly the drone it was too windy. I like your drone flights very much.
it puts the E in Epic. I like your map, would love to know how you make them and then hook them up with Google maps for download. Is there a tutorial on how to do that?
This is super awesome. You did a good job despite the bad wind and clouds. By the way, you have a good taste of music selection. May I ask what songs you picked in this video?
Thanks very much for the video. Just curious. You didn't go over to Mykines as per the map you show at the end of the video. Mind sharing any comments if any reasons or considerations on that? Thanks.
That bridge is known in some quarters as Danson's Loup, eh, Nigel? Your last image is the most literally impressive, but I like the composition and light in the second (10:42) better. Great stuff, Mads!
My vertigo - again! Great video and photos as always. Think I've just come up with a drinking game. Every time you use the word "epic" I take a drink. Waht kould gå wrrronnggg? *hick*
Won't the IBIS help you in this situation even though you were shooting from the tripod. I would think that it could offset the wind left after you did the lowering of tripod and shielding with body?
I have to say that I love the videos and I'm inspired. But I'm not psyched about the location disclosure which has gone to a new level here. We photographers are part of the problem with overuse of lands and the consequences that come from it. Trash, crowds, feces, illegal or unethical trails forming, trespassing etc. Not to mention the strain on a tiny country's infrastructure and it's natural resources, limited accommodations, car rentals, flights etc. I don't want it to become a playground for the rich, and I think discovery is part of the fun. It's almost like why not stay home and order postcards?

Hi Debby, it was such a pleasure to be your guide in the Faroes and I'm so happy you had a great trip. Looking forward to seeing you again :)
The map with the locations is an excellent idea, many thanks for that! Keep going!
My favorite of all your Faroe Island videos and your last photos were really worth the hard climb.
I love the beautiful locations that you visit. Such beauty. Thanks for sharing.
Blown away Mads yet again - thank you!
Mother Nature never disappoints and you always capture that in your videos and photos - thank you for sharing!
Excellent photos under difficult conditions.
I'm speechless. Many thanks

Really love these photos, they give a great sense of the grandeur of the place - but as you say being there for real is just mind blowing.
Another great video !!! Thank you Mads for sharing al your locations from Iceland and the Faroe Islands in your Google maps. Super useful !!!!

Another great video. Love the shot where you lined up Thomas vertically with edge of the cliff in the background. Absolutely stunning!
Friggin WOW!
It’s so hard to show the scale of these places with stunning landscapes, thanks Thomas for being there.

Wow beautiful and Epic! This is where I think a 100-500 would come in handy.
It's definitely also handy in Kalsoy ;)
I also do lot of photos and with this kind of weather (grey...) I would give up right away. But thanks to your skills, you get very nice photos.
Yet another epic cinematic offering Mads, absolutely top notch, brilliant.
Sooooooo looking forward to my Faroe Islands trip in June! I only wish I was staying more than 5 days.

You are alright. Very enjoyable.
Great vid Mads, love the 2nd shot, cos of the dark cloud.

To quote an infamous philosopher/photographer, "EPIC"!
Thank you for this video. So unbelievable landscape. I adored you, patient, nonetheless, your plan with sunset have no success you always in a good mood.
Another moody masterpiece! I really enjoy your talk about visualisation!
Thanks for all the great content of this year Mads, excellent work. A suggestion for your maps: it would be great to have the gpx hiking tracks included; would this be possible? Habe a great start in the new year!

always epic Mads!!! With the crazy weather is a Milky Way shot able to be taken or no?
Absolutely outstanding images Mads! It is fantastic that you have gone to the trouble of creating a location map as well. I'll get there maybe one day, but just watching your VLOG is almost as good!

Hi, I can't really make that decision for you, but I'd watch all my videos and make a priority list and see what you have time for up there :)
@@MadsPeterIversen thanks for the answer. Keep up the good work!
ah man, now I have to go back to the Faroes! Suduroy looks beautiful! Great video, excellent music, and good to see you're getting a good workout Mads!
Get yourself a telephoto lens stabilizer for your tripod, huge help for those windy situations
Incredible stuff. Thanks also for the map locations. Can you tell me when this was filmed?
Welcome to my second home (Sandvík), I have been lucky to have spend the last 7 years photographing Ásmundarstakkur.
Thanks for the excellent videos. What did you do for accommodation on the island (or Faroes generally)? Sudoroy seems like an ideal size and place to camp. 😊
Thanks, the first time I went we rented a little guest house and the second it was out and back on the same day.

Nope, haven't been there. I want to at some point and was scheduled to, but the ferry got cancelled.
Thanks!

It wasn't enough the stabilize the photo :/
Amazing. It looks pretty dangerous.
