Hey Sg, Sorry about this. This is almost always due to the sensors needing to be closer together when the door is closed or a bad sensor. If you take the magnetic sensor and place it directly on top of the wired sensor does the app show the door closed within a few seconds? If so, the sensor is working, it just needs to be placed closer when the door is closed. If this doesn’t fix it please contact us at info@eKyro.com and we will get you taken care of. Sorry again, -eKyro Team
I am installing it quite a distance from the router and in a enclosed waterproof case (outdoor use). Is it possible to install an external antenna to improve the range/signal?
Great question Glory to God in the Highest, The antenna is built into the WiFi chip and doesn’t have an external element to it unfortunately. We have had customers use wifi boosters or on extenders to increase the WiFi in their garage so the ekyro opener could connect to the network. If you’d like to continue this continue this convo, feel free to give us a holler at info@eKyro.com.
G'day, great instructional vid mate. I just installed mine, the door closes fine but when I press to open it only make the clicking sound but doesn't activate the door. Would you have any idea what may be wrong? Or maybe I just got a faulty one?
Hello! Sorry for the slow response - we've had some bots commenting so we have muted some of the comment alerts 🙄 What is your opener make and model? PS - we should continue this conversation via email at >> info@eKyro.com
Hello! Yes it will still work well without issues if in the Smart Life app (you may get "Door left open alerts" still). If using voice control (Alexa, Siri, Google Home) you will have to say the opposite command as the current position to get it to open/close. Example: If the sensors are left apart the opener will think the door is always "open", so, you will need to consistently use the "close" voice command to both open and close the door. If you have more questions on this please shoot us an email at info@eKyro.com. Thanks, -eKyro Team
The black and red wires are just used to trigger the garage door through a relay - neither is technically "ground" or "PB". However, if your wall button is connected to the ground and PB then you could connect them as: Black=Ground and Red=PB and it should work as hoped! Hopefully this makes sense 😊 -eKyro Team
It only works when I am connected to my home wifi. Is it possible to change settings where I can open and shut garage when I am not at home too? like with mobile data?
Good question! Once you get your first phone connected, you can “Share” it with up to 20 other devices through the sharing video on our website (or the user manual). Thank you! -eKyro Team
Hello! This is almost always due to the sensors either: 1). Not being placed close enough together when the door is closed 2). Being faulty Shoot us a message at info@eKyro.com if you have the sensors within 1/4” when the door is closed and it is still behaving like this. Thanks! -eKyro Team
best video on youtube on this subject. My OPEN and CLOSE are reverse some how.

I just in one and you’re right petty easy my question is does it eliminate the manual door switch. Thanks
The manual door switch should still work if it is still connected to the garage door opener motor.
