    Dude, you are absolutely killing it with this Korea series, seriously. I live next door in Japan and I had no idea there were so many passionate companies like this in Korea. Kudos to you for showing us their products, their stories, and also for letting them speak. There's nothing worse than an overbearing interviewer, and you are most certainly not that. Can't wait for the next one!

    I've owned an Allnic product for many years. It was a preamp. I decided to up my audio game in the last year and a half. I wanted a quality integrated. It came down to a Luxman 590 or the Allnic T2000 30th anniversary. The Allnic won then won my heart. At the same time, I purchased the Allnic H5500 phonostage. Allnic phonostages have always been well regarded so that was a no brainer. Then Kevalin Audio sent me an Allnic D10000 DAC to review. That became a real problem. I own the Holo May KTE, but the Allnic D-10000 showed me what was possible, how a DAC doesn't sound much like digital, just the sound of music flowing in a beautiful manner. It was my wife who said it sounded beautiful. My wife would never consider a DAC at this price - never. So we bought it. My review is posted on a few forums. I told you Jay, to visit the Allnic studio!

    Wonderful talk! Wouldn't it be amazing if the "tube sound" that we love is BECAUSE of tube microphonics? !!!

    • @Jayiyagi
      @Jayiyagi  Рік тому +2

      I doubt it. Microphonics are unpleasant ringing sounds that is caused by mechanical and if you are playing really loud with subs on, arguable air-borne vibrations. I heard a really poorly designed tube amplifier once and it had serious microphonic issues. I didn't know it was an issue until then. In the modern day world, it isn't a huge issue in many designs but paying close attention to each and every issue like Allnic certainly helps have an additive benefit in my opinion

    • @AdrianIII
      @AdrianIII Рік тому

      @@Jayiyagi I was thinking of more subtle "microphonics," perhaps like a parallel to cabinet resonances in speakers.

    • @Jayiyagi
      @Jayiyagi  Рік тому

      I hear what you are saying but it’s just not a thing you want in my opinion.
      Cabinet resonance is due to flexing of wood materials that the speakers are made of.
      Now imagine glass resonance… that’s not something that’s gonna be pleasant to majority of the people. Imagine screeching on your window with a sharp nail and that’s about equivalent to micro vibrations or microphonics in tubes.

    • @AdrianIII
      @AdrianIII Рік тому

      @@Jayiyagi Perhaps the elements inside of the tubes have resonances... not the glass envelope? I agree you don't want screechy glass! Haha.

    • @jimfarrell4635
      @jimfarrell4635 Рік тому

      @@AdrianIII I wonder, Adrian, if you are thinking of the second order harmonic distortion which is a big component of the typical tube sound and quite pleasant to the ear. As Jay says microphonics are just generally a bad thing.

    Jay. I have respect for what you do, but I need to take one thing out of my chest. I hope you witll take it as a constructive criticism. I hate it when you come out with heavy statements like "Best amplifier in the world"! It might catch attention as a UA-cam video title, and please a company, but it cheapens your work in my opinion. Please learn how to put things into perspective if you want to grow up as a reviewer! How can we trust you in the long run otherwise? Especially when chances are that you are going to say the same thing for another company in two months from now!! Watching your past videos becomes a real joke in that context. It cheapens your hard work. I'm 100% sure it is not your intention. Anyways, to me, there's no such things as the "best in the world" component.
