Classy move for the UFC production team for not filming Chris in pain. Big respect, that break broke me a little
They filmed Silva, hell with with it.
@@djroberts6792 Because, even when broken legs do happen time to time (it's fighting), something like Silva's hadn't happened there, so it was treated like a regular TKO. And now that everyone who saw Weidman's knew exactly what happened, everyone gets the Vietnam flashbacks and knowing how messed up the injury is, they spare Weidman from having his agony filmed. At the very least we saw Weili wasn't too hurt after that headkick and Masvidal returned quickly from his astral travel, but we can't say the same thing about Weidman

And the funniest thing is that he owes him practically nothing cuz he just checked that low kick perfectly.
@@necromonger9842 exactly. Jack slack talked about stepping out into the calf kick as a defense and hall executed it perfectly. It sucks how he wont get the credit for it as weidman didnt for Silva in their first fight. I hope uriah hall makes a run for the title off of this tho, hes always been a gym warrior. I've trained with guys who've trained with him and they've told me he could easily be the champ. Everyone's better in the gym of course, but if he allows more of his true potential to shine through he could go a lot further than people think

Uriah Halls story is so good. He was called the Man who would take down the spyder when nobody else could. And ended up proving everyone right. Just years later and after many other people had already done it. I love how he spoke about how the pressures of the UFC and everyone crowning him a champion before he ever fought a fight in the ufc. He seems like a hell of a good down to earth dude. And I wish him all the luck in the world moving forward. Your the man Uriah.
Seriously respect this guy so much. Talks so well mannered, intelligent, humble, and good fighter. Wish him good luck for the future. Sucks it couldn’t be a proper fight but that’s the game.
He's been one of my favorite fighters ever since I saw him in TUF.
Yeah but he's dirty when he loses or spars. Check on youtube and michael bisping sparring stories. Basically in sparring if you are beating him, he will suck punch you or throw out a kick at 100% that can injure you when in sparring you should only be using 80% power
@John G What? People don't make those critiques of Conor because Conor is none of those things.
@John G you must be black and biased but you didn't read properly and you didn't do your research. It's nothing to do with his skin colour stop being paranoid. There is a sparring video of uriah doing a "revenge kick" in light sparring and also the bisping situation. Basically they were training on the ground and each taking turns to hold each other down and then try to get back up(no punches) and then reset. Bisping got back up a few times but uriah hall couldn't. When bisping got up on his knees and about to reset uriah hall starting landing haye makers on his head for no reason trying knock him out and Bisping says what are you doing? We are training ground game. Then uriah says something like yeah what yeah what? uriah is not a nice guy. Basically in sparring if you caught uriah with light punch he will try his best to injure you. If you do don't believe me look it up this ain't no racism shit but facts.
@John G dude i think you got a chip on your shoulder where you are paranoid now thinking everyone is against you. Nah celebrating when someone broke their leg is a low move. I only support fighters of good character because that is how i work, i just know uriah is a dirty fighter in sparring and that's probably why he loses a lot because he has no more sparring partners because no one wants to spar with him. Also don't like conor too because of the fake 500k to charity which is a bitch move and last time i checked he's white.
Classy interview. Props to Uriah for making it about Chris. Pretty sure the whole MMA community is pulling for Chris to make a full recovery. Prayers up.

Equally bizarre, disgusting, and heartbreaking. I almost cried. Feel terrible for Hall too, didn't even get to show anything in a rematch I know meant a lot to him.
Yeah, that looked really bad. Bottom half of his shin just flopping around in all sorts of disturbing directions. I already look away when the Anderson one comes up in highlights. Now there’s another one to look away for.
He showed plenty he timed his block to the point that it shattered his opponents leg. I dont know why he would feel bad it was a good performance and everyone knows this is what you risl when you leg kick.
@@frek175
The thing is, even Uriah disagrees with you himself. He said he owes Chris a fight. He's known for his offensive striking, there's no way he was planning on winning the fight by checking a leg kick. Of course you train how to defend strikes, but you don't count on a freak accident like this winning you fights.
@@cattalkbmx its not a freak accident tho it was a planned check. Thats like calling something a freak ko after you kick him in the face with full force

You don't check the kick with the intention of breaking a leg, you check it with the intention of stopping the effectiveness of the kick. If you don't think it was a freak accident how do you explain Hall's reaction, he clearly didn't seem to anticipate or expect that result.
